About the Team:
Deloitte’s Global Operate team is seeking a manager to support the enhancement of our Operate contracting and contract management practices globally. This role will play an integral part of our organization's success in standardization, strategy, and operations for Operate contracting and contract management. Staying up to date with industry’s best practices and emerging trends, you will support the implementation of innovative practices and benchmarking exercises to foster a culture of continuous improvement. This role focuses specifically on Deloitte’s managed services portfolio of contracts.
As a member of the Global Operate Commercial and Contracting COE, you will provide project management expertise and support the development of deliverables for a variety of internal audiences, including Global Businesses, Deloitte Firms, and the Global Operate Council to engage, inspire and motivate people to embrace the significant changes that are required to achieve our ambition.

Key responsibilities:
As a Manager, Contract Management, you will help lead day-to-day operations of the contract management team in the global contract management service center. This role involves reviewing contracts, tracking obligations, and providing proactive contract management support to Deloitte firms. The Manager will work closely with the Senior Manager to ensure continuous delivery of services of the highest quality. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a rapidly expanding business and make a significant impact on our operations. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Help the Senior Manager and other Managers manage the contract management team, by working with them in reviewing intake requests, assigning work, and balancing workload across team members based on capacity, skills, and priorities. This involves monitoring workloads, identifying bottlenecks, and taking necessary actions to balance the workload.
• Review contracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions, and assist with ongoing contracting, risk management, and mitigation support (e.g. SOW, change orders, amendments, renewals, etc.). A significant portion of time will be spent on extracting, documenting, and monitoring obligations of both parties in managed services contracts.
• Provide proactive support to Deloitte firms/managed services engagement teams, addressing contract-related issues and providing guidance as needed.
• Proactively identify contracting issues, resolve escalations by team members and, where applicable, be responsible for escalating contracting issues to Senior Manager and other internal stakeholders.
• Assist in developing and implementing contract management strategies.
• Liaise with global teams, Deloitte firms and other internal stakeholders (e.g. legal, risk) to resolve contract-related issues and improve contract management processes
• Maintain knowledge of core professional services (IT, managed services, outsourcing) and product offerings to continue supporting contracting and risk matters in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
• Provide mentoring and training to team members and broader audience to enhance knowledge of and compliance with Deloitte firms’ policies, templates, and processes related to contract management.
• Proactively pursue, assess, and, where appropriate, advance initiatives, including the areas of software, cloud, data analytics, operate services, and privacy and security.
• Support strategic initiatives pertaining to the development/updating of processes, tools, and templates to improve overall risk management and contracting practices and to help adoption of such processes, tools, and templates.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business, law, or a related field.
• Experience in contract management and/or project management preferred.
Work experience:
• 8+ years of experience in contract management or related fields.
• Extensive experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Bonus: Experience in contract administration, , project management and/or in developing/ implementing learning and training initiatives..
Skills and capabilities:
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end professional services and managed services contracting life cycle, with a focus on technology services.
• Deep understanding of risk associated with delivery of professional consulting services, with an ability to identify specific approaches to address a wide variety of such risks.
• Proven ability to record influence a diverse set of stakeholders and align them on shared outcomes, backed by strong understanding of commercial contracting practices, including terms and conditions.
• Outstanding verbal/written communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills with a strong customer-service mindset and a team-oriented approach. Boldness in your ability to advise senior leaders is essential to success in this role.
• Excellent leadership skills include the ability to prioritize critical needs, act decisively, and handle a high volume of complex tasks within a given timeframe.
• Experience in reviewing and revising scope of work documents with a focus on incorporating actionable and measurable guidance to address specific risks around delivery execution.
• Strong listening and learning skills, with consistently track record of documenting decisions, with rational behind them.
• Knowledge of contract-related software such as ServiceNow and Contract Lifecycle Management software etc. Experience building contracting into software solutions is a plus.
• Experience with AI technologies such as GenAI.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
