Role Specific Responsibilities / Work you’ll do
- Understanding business objectives, data preparation, data mining, feature engineering, and developing Gen-AI Solutions to solve the business problems

- End-to-End AI Solution Development: Design, develop, and deliver robust backend components for generative AI applications using Python and Azure, ensuring timely and reliable delivery.
- Prototyping & Innovation: Rapidly prototype and iterate on AI architectures, design patterns, and emerging technologies to support business and client needs.
- Azure Integration & Optimization: Integrate and optimize AI models, indexes, and vector databases within Azure-based environments for high performance and scalability.
- Advanced AI Methodologies: Implement advanced AI approaches, including prompt engineering and RAG, to enhance solution capabilities.
- Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Work closely with offshore and cross-functional teams to resolve complex backend and AI integration challenges and facilitate knowledge transfer.
- Security, Compliance & Ethics: Ensure all solutions adhere to enterprise security, compliance, and data protection standards, with a strong focus on ethical AI.
- Continuous Learning: Stay current with industry trends, proactively recommending and adopting innovative technologies and best practices.
- Client-Focused Delivery: Utilize Microsoft Copilot Studio and Azure AI services to design, implement, and deploy AI solutions tailored to specific client and business requirements.
- Documentation & Standards: Ensure all processes, documentation, and standards are maintained or created for delivered projects.
- Ethical Guidelines: Collaborate with users and stakeholders to develop and implement ethical guidelines for the use of generative AI.

Qualifications
Essential
- A Computer Science University degree and/or equivalent work experience
- A strong commitment to professional client service excellence

Technical Skills and Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on Python and web frameworks (e.g., Django, FastAPI, Flask).
- Proven expertise in integrating, deploying, and optimizing AI models and indexes within cloud-based environments, particularly on Azure (Azure AI Foundry, Azure Cognitive Services).
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in Generative AI projects, with a solid understanding of machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and related AI technologies.
- Hands-on experience with leading frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, and Semantic Kernel for generative AI solution development.
- Experience working with vector databases and implementing index-based search solutions.
- Strong knowledge of software design principles (SOLID) and common design patterns (Factory, Strategy, Observer, Singleton) for maintainable, extensible, and testable codebases.
- Experience designing and implementing Azure-based web applications, including integrating AI/ML solutions and optimizing for performance, scalability, and security.
- Working knowledge of SQL databases is desirable.
- Proficiency in rapid prototyping and building proof-of-concepts (POCs) to validate new AI architectures and emerging technologies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective teamwork with global and cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to ethical AI practices, data privacy, and compliance with enterprise security standards.
