Asst. Manager (Technical Specialist) – Cloud Ops GCP - Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited
The team you will be joining partners with application teams to onboard and optimize their GCP cloud environments, focusing on secure infrastructure setup and cost efficiency. The platform is of central importance to Deloitte’s core businesses.
Work you’ll do
You will be working within the ECMS Cloud Ops GCP Team as Asst. Manager (Technical Specialist), working closely with Cloud - application teams in onboarding their applications, providing guidance in infrastructure setup, cost saving opportunities. We implement security policies and automations to secure cloud resources. You will be part of our technology organization and have a great opportunity to collaborate with various parts of Deloitte, including our Reliability teams, development teams, different infrastructure teams and other stakeholders working on different GCP services.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of cloud computing concepts and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) terminology.
- Set up fundamental cloud resources, such as virtual machines and storage buckets, by following established procedures.
- Assist in managing user access and configuring basic security settings within GCP.
- Support the setup of network connections and security groups under supervision.
- Observe and learn API usage and security best practices from team activities.
- Deploy small-scale cloud resources using provided scripts or templates.
- Document procedures and steps during cloud resource setup and migration activities.
- Write simple code snippets or scripts for assigned technical tasks.
- Monitor cloud resources for uptime and report on key performance metrics.
- Execute automation scripts to provision cloud resources as directed.
- Review standard security settings and escalate any identified issues.
- Respond to user requests and support tickets related to cloud services.
- Perform routine server maintenance, including log reviews and backup operations.
· Hands-on experience with core GCP services (Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, App Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, IAM, VPC, Stackdriver, and security tools).
· Strong grasp of GCP computing, storage, networking, security, logging, and monitoring.
· Proficient in PaaS and IaaS, with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and automation scripts.
· Skilled in architecting, deploying, and maintaining high-availability cloud systems.
· Familiar with DevOps, CI/CD workflows, Agile, and Lean methodologies.
· System administration experience in Linux, Unix, or Windows environments.
· Knowledgeable in IT security practices, encryption, certificates, and key management.
· Understanding of cloud networking (load balancers, DNS, virtual networks, firewalls).
· Strong background in monitoring, alerting, and incident response for cloud applications.
· Proficient in scripting (Python, PowerShell) and automation.
· Exposure to container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
· Experience with Azure DevOps tools is a plus.
· Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure, databases, and applications for high performance and availability.
· Understanding of disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
· Relevant active Google Cloud certifications, such as Google Associate Cloud Engineer, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or Google Professional DevOps Engineer, are preferred.

Work Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM
