Assistant Manager, DT- GP&S – Tax Technology

You will be part of our technology organization and have a great opportunity to work across various parts of Deloitte, including our development teams and other stakeholders to drive reliabilty upstream in the application lifecycle and across our operational environments.

 Technical expertise is critical in order to imagine and drive technical improvements across our database, networking, and infrastructure teams, and to partner with our application teams, implementing more robust and performant applications for our internal solutions and business solutions (Tax, Audit, Consulting, Finance and Advisory Services).

You should be someone excited with the challenge of bringing new thinking to operations and is passionate about imaginging and implementing improvements and relentlessly pursues excellence, is a deep and broad technical expert, and can build trusting relationships across teams.

This is a new and exciting role to drive our organization further in world class operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Act as a hands-on DevOps Engineer supporting cloud-native web applications and APIs on AWS.

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (YAML pipelines, build & release).

• Work extensively with EKS / Kubernetes for container orchestration, deployments, and scaling.

• Manage and enhance Terraform-based infrastructure, including: o Understanding and modifying existing codebases. o Debugging deployment failures and state issues. o Support and optimize API deployments and routing using (API Gateway/ALB/NLB/CloudFront).

• Collaborate with development teams to enable: o Faster and reliable deployments. o Improved application performance and stability.

• Troubleshoot issues across layers: o Kubernetes (pods, nodes, autoscaling, networking). o Application/API (latency, failures, 5xx errors). o Infrastructure (networking, permissions, scaling issues).

• Support multi-environment setups (Dev / Stage / Prod) and release management activities.

• Participate in release planning, mock runs, and production deployments.

• Build and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.

• Create and maintain technical documentation to support ongoing development, operations, and team alignment.

• Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort .

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or other technical or scientific field.

 • Strong hands-on experience in DevOps / AWS Cloud / Infrastructure engineerin.

 • Mandatory experience with EKS / Kubernetes. o Deployments, services, ingress, autoscaling. o Debugging real production issues.

 • Strong experience in Terraform (Infrastructure as Code). o Working with existing codebases. o State management (S3/DynamoDB). o Debugging and resolving deployment issues.

 • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (CI/CD pipelines). o YAML pipelines. o Build & release automation.

 • Experience supporting web applications and REST APIs in production environments.

• Hand-on experience in monitoring and debugging using AWS Cloudwatch, including o Log analysis (Cloudwatch logs). o Metrics and dashboards. o Debugging applications/API and infrastructure issues using logs and metrics.

 • Proficiency in Linux and scripting (Shell/Python).

 • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in live production systems.

• Ability to work in cross-functional and global teams.
