Position Summary

Associate Vice President – Technology Delivery Leader

Work you’ll do

As a Delivery leader, the responsibility is to deliver Multi cloud, Generative AI, data management, analytics, data warehousing-oriented platforms and solutions, support end-to-end to technical delivery of the product portfolio; and own relationship management, people development, and strategy execution.

You will lead the delivery of multi cloud, Gen AI, Delivery enablement, data analytics, sensing, and benchmarking solutions for our business; own, direct, and manage execution of the product delivery plan; and be the primary point of escalation for team impediments. In collaboration with the Product Group Leader, Engagement Lead and Project Manager, you will define the project scope, goals, and deliverables that support defined client and Global consulting services goals. You will coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members, influencing all team members – with or without a reporting relationship – to take positive action and accountability for their work.

The Senior TDM owns several key customer relationships with business leads. The TDM builds a strong network within GTS and Deloitte Global

  • Responsible for successful delivery of Multi cloud (Azure, AWS and GCP), Generative AI, data management, analytics, benchmarking oriented platforms and solutions.
  • Responsible for technical delivery and leadership of products including leading teams to develop new products, supporting COTS solutions, conducting proofs-of-concepts, leading IT service Ops.
  • Acts as key technical trusted advisor to leadership and contributes to product visioning, feasibility and architectural approach definition.
  • Partners with leadership to engage business stakeholders to understand client need
  • Provides guidance, oversight to the Development organization engaged on projects
  • Participates in architectural review activities and leads design reviews to ensure alignment to the architectural approach.
  • Identifies technical, human resource and business process implications of future product offerings and enhancements
  • Envisions new technical capabilities and common applications components. Contributes to business case development associated with technology investment needs.
  • People Development: Perform role of counselor and coach; provide input and guidance into the staffing process; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices.
  • Work with Project Manager to develop full-scale project plans and effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
  • Manage and oversee day to day activities of team and ensure adherence to enterprise standards in project execution methodology, requirements gathering, quality assurance and continuous improvement
  • Oversee and provide estimates for all resources required to achieve project goals and manage assigned budget throughout execution of project; including estimation for new business
  • Identify and resolve issues, risks and conflicts within the project team. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify possible crises and devise contingency plans
  • Monitor emerging technology trends within assigned product/technology area
  • Supplier management experience - Manage vendor relationships and interactions with vendors

Skill and Experience Required 
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, business or equivalent professional experience or qualifications is required
  • 15+ years’ experience in technical project execution/leadership, designing, building and deploying enterprise solutions with exposure to multiple software packages/vendors, programming languages and technology platforms with a analytics, data warehousing/data management focus.
  • Experience with successful delivery of data management, analytics, benchmarking oriented platforms and solutions.
  • Experience in DOTNET, Gen AI, Azure, AWS, data warehousing, data integration, ETL [e.g. Microsoft SSIS] and be able to apply this knowledge in an enterprise environment
  • Develop and Design .NET Web applications (ASP.NET, .NET Core, Angular, C#, SQL, JSON, Web API, Power BI) using Agile processes in an Azure and AWS environment.
  • Experience with multiple software platforms including the following Azure data PaaS services: Azure SQL DB, Azure data factory , Azure Storage, Cosmos DB, MongoDB and etc. and Microsoft SSIS.
  • Experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau, QlikView, Qlik Sense , Power BI
  • Experience in database analysis services for visualization design such as Microsoft SSAS
  • Experience with scalable implementations using Microsoft SQL Server
  • Understanding of data modeling, optimized database development and scalable data integration
  • Demonstrated ability to stay current with best practices, existing and emerging technology platforms, architectural and systems engineering industry trends.
  • Experience with data and application integration issues, solutions and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver presentations to executives to gain consensus, including an ability to translate complex technical topics to audiences with a range of technical and non technical sophistication.
  • Prior experience with global or firm-wide data mastery initiatives, data analytics and visualization technologies, and awareness of data residency challenges with global hosting
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders across multiple business areas, functions, and geographies and working in a fast paced environment.
  • Working experience with Hadoop, HBase, Hive or MapReduce or Spark is a plus
  • Experience in technology and vendor assessments
  • IT project and product management experience and knowledge of application lifecycle management (ALM) methodologies including Agile and Scrum. DevOps implementation experience. IT service operations experience
