Overview of the role
The Ascend Operations PMO will play a pivotal role in ensuring streamlined operations through continuous improvements and coordination of planned activities across Ascend PMO. The professional will help accelerate execution of our shared agenda by streamlining operations (reporting, PMO activities etc.) to achieve greater efficiency and productivity for Ascend Program Operations.
The Ascend Operations PMO drives operational efficiency by leading the program onboarding experience, coordinating planned activities, and implementing continuous improvements across the Ascend PMO. This role accelerates execution of strategic projects and optimizes reporting and PMO processes to enhance productivity for Ascend program operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize PMOne for program management reporting
- Standardize reporting processes across geographies; identify tools and methods to enhance operational excellence and insight generation
- Lead the program onboarding and offboarding experience, developing and managing content to help facilitate both processes
- Own and maintain program contact list
- Manage program calendars including vacation trackers and program blackouts (e.g. holiday shutdowns)
- Build and demonstrate Ascend program knowledge, including knowledge of key stakeholders, relationships, and teams involved in the delivery of the Ascend program
- Communicate and collaborate with stakeholders; recommend automation and process improvements
- Plan and execute meetings: draft agendas, organize sessions, and document follow-ups
- Support team operations: manage recurring projects, organize shared resources, and review junior team members’ work
- Facilitate PMO communication; route inquiries effectively to Ascend team
- Coordinate across workstreams for cohesive engagement
- Escalate risks and issues to Ascend PMO leadership for awareness, analysis, and next steps
- Assist in the preparation of materials for leadership forums and summits, ensuring timely updates
Requisite core skills
- and able to manage multiple projects independently
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities
- Attention to detail with a proven record of delivering high-impact outcomes
- Strong project and program management expertise with experience in PMO tools (MS Project, PMOne Smartsheet)
- Skilled in stakeholder management: building consensus, maintaining relationships, and influencing across teams
- Excellent time management and responsiveness
- Experienced in cross-level, global team collaboration in virtual environments
- High ethical standards and ability to handle confidential information
- Experience in innovation, strategy, operations, and transformation roles
- Familiarity with Ascend and related tools (e.g., PMOne)
- Knowledge of AI tools for process automation and operational efficiency
Qualifications, experience, work location, and timing
We are looking for a passionate, high energy, and self-motivated individual who is accustomed to working independently and collaboratively on small and large projects in a close-knit team.
- Work experience: 6+ years of relevant experience
- Strong track record with previous teams/business
- Comfortable working with team members and stakeholders across geographies and time zones
- Work hours: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM or 02:00 PM – 11:00 PM (expected to be flexible with time zones)
- Working from office: The individual is expected to come to office at least 2 days a week as per the ‘work from office’ schedule
