About the Role

  • As a Social/Behavioral Data Scientist with Deloitte’s Executive Accelerators Activated Insights team, you will be at the forefront of pioneering research to uncover actionable insights on team effectiveness and workplace behavior at the highest organizational levels. This highly collaborative and strategically impactful role is ideal for a data-driven researcher with deep expertise in the quantitative social sciences, advanced analytics, and emerging technologies, including machine learning and generative AI.
  • You will partner with business and academic stakeholders to design, manage, and deliver large-scale research studies, leveraging your analytical skills to translate behavioral data into compelling, practical solutions for executive audiences. From survey creation and project management through data engineering and the development of analytical tools, you will shape Deloitte’s understanding of how teams and leaders thrive in fast-evolving business environments.

What you will do

Research Studies

·       Manage large-scale research studies on team effectiveness and working styles, including project planning, proposal development, and stakeholder engagement from ideation through deployment

·       Prepare detailed research proposals with clear research questions, methodologies, survey instruments, sampling plans, and project timelines

·       Integrate relevant secondary research and conduct competitive intelligence from peer organizations and academic institutions to define key research questions and identify opportunities for differentiation

Data Management & Analysis

·       Build and maintain quality-controlled databases at both individual and team levels, ensuring reliable data extraction, feature engineering, and data integrity

·       Analyze complex qualitative and quantitative data sets using advanced statistical methods, machine learning, AI, and agent-based models to uncover meaningful patterns, trends, benchmarks, and key drivers

·       Partner with technical experts and leverage new technologies in data science, GenAI, and agent-based frameworks to implement robust analytical approaches

Survey & Tool Development

·       Design, program, test, and continuously enhance interactive surveys and reporting tools, with an emphasis on automation and process innovation

·       Collaborate with internal and external developers for deploying survey instruments and creating user-friendly reports and analytics platforms

Reporting & Communication

·       Distill analytical findings into actionable insights and provide guidance to stakeholders for interpreting results

·       Develop engaging visualizations and utilize storytelling techniques to communicate complex concepts and research results to both technical and executive audiences, including GenAI-driven outputs

·       Produce comprehensive reports and executive-level presentations that summarize study outcomes, methodologies, and recommendations

·       Communicate and influence business audiences, ensuring research drives organizational impact

Project & Process Management

·       Oversee end-to-end project management, including process documentation, deliverable tracking, quality reviews, and coordination of research activities

Technical & Subject Matter Excellence

·       Demonstrate proficiency in research methods (survey design, sampling, psychometrics, analytics), data science tools (Python, SQL, R, SPSS, Excel, Qlikview, Tableau, Qualtrics), and key analytics/GenAI libraries

·       Apply expertise in team effectiveness, workplace culture, organizational psychology, behavioral economics, motivation, leadership, and related areas to enrich research projects

·       Remain current with emerging technologies and analytic methodologies, integrating innovative approaches to advance research impact

Required skills

·       Analytical mindset with innovative problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

·       Results-driven, highly organized, attentive to detail, and adept at managing multiple projects simultaneously—both short- and long-term

·       Good verbal and written communication skills in English

·       Proactive team player who can work independently with a client-centric, meticulous approach

Professional qualifications, work location, and timings

  • : Post graduate degree in quantitative social science (e.g., psychology, organizational behavior, sociology, or behavioral economics) with a focus on statistics, research methods, psychometrics, or data science
  • 3 – 5 years of relevant experience
  • : Hyderabad
  • : 2:00 pm-11:00 pm IST
  • : Hybrid (between work from office & home)
