As a senior editor and content strategist for Deloitte Insights, you’ll work with Deloitte professionals, researchers, and thought leaders to help plan, develop, and produce research and insights projects for US and global audiences including Deloitte clients, the media, academia, and more. The work will vary from project to project, so this role requires someone with versatile storytelling skills; keen editorial judgment; an expert understanding of storytelling best practices and grammar, punctuation, and AP style rules; and an editor’s adaptability, strong collaboration skills, sensitivity to authors’ needs and objectives, and eye for detail. Working closely with our editorial, production, design, UX, and technology teams, you’ll apply an outside-in lens to content planning and storytelling, and deliver our content via a compelling, digital-first experience.

·       Working closely with authors to ghostwrite, rewrite, or substantively edit thought leadership content, when necessary, to ensure quality, readability, and audience engagement while maintaining the authors’ voices (and knowing when to leave authors’ wording as is)

·       Leading content quality control and storytelling effectiveness: editing copy for accuracy, clarity, grammar, punctuation, readability, flow, and style

·       Managing stakeholders: finding ways to effectively influence the outcomes of authors’ work while respecting their ownership of the end results

·       Pitching, planning, and developing derivative content intended to share noteworthy findings from Deloitte research in engaging ways (e.g., videos, articles, etc.)

·       Using technology such as generative AI judiciously and according to team policies, to support copy revisions, headline refinement, and process efficiencies; guiding authors on appropriate gen AI usage in writing

·       Coordinating with authors, designers, marketing, and other internal teams to ensure that project timelines are accurately set and met

·       Coaching Deloitte content creators on language usage, writing style, storytelling effectiveness, and Deloitte Insights’ production processes

·       Guiding/mentoring junior editors and reviewing their work

Our DI publishing team comprises editors plus production, audience engagement, and digital operations professionals located around the world.
