Job Summary:
As the Food & Beverage Lead at Deloitte University, you will be responsible for managing food and beverage operations, ensuring that every guest experience reflects the highest standards of hospitality and aligns with DU brand’s commitment to excellence. Your role will be pivotal in continuously elevating and innovating F&B offerings, tailoring services to the unique needs of diverse guests.
Responsibilities:
Operations -
- Ensure flawless execution of food and beverage services, that meets the guests expectations.
- Work closely with the Program and internal teams to stay updated on event F&B requirements and ensure smooth execution.
- Coordinate with client experience teams to deliver customized F&B requirements.
- Ensure timely food service while upholding uncompromising standards for food safety and hygiene.
- Plan food choices based on the seasons all through the year
- Define standards of excellence for day to-day operations for food and beverage offerings.
- Continuous improvement in the quality and variety of food as per the guest feedback received.
- Periodic connects with F&B service provider, procurement and DU leadership to discuss updates, challenges and way forward
- Ensure smooth operations by following the office safety guidelines.
- Ensure kitchen, back-of-house, and dishwashing areas consistently meet or exceed local health and safety regulations
- Champion sustainable practices by prioritizing local sourcing, updating products to more eco friendly options and implementing strategies to minimize food waste.
- Adherence to process and quality standards. Oversee inventory processes to ensure adequate stock levels, minimize waste, and optimize ordering and storage practices
- Prepare regular reports on site-specific food and beverage operations, employee satisfaction, and compliance metrics for leadership reporting.
People and Vendor Management –
- Build and maintain relationships with food and beverage vendors, prioritizing quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely service
- Handling feedback responses of guest related to food.
- Ensure highest standards of hygiene of staff working at the dining spaces.
- Monitor the upkeep of the kitchen equipment.
- Training for Staff and contractual employees in all mandatory / statutory & Leadership suggested trainings.
- Conduct regular site-specific safety audits and ensure staff compliance with PPE and sanitation protocols
- Implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality
Food Safety Management Systems at Kitchen (HACCP) and Food audits –
- Plan regular Audits for F&B areas, food delivery vehicles and central kitchen.
- Ensure the F&B service provider is managing all requirements towards adhering to food safety standards.
- Work closely with F&B service provider on identifying the training need analysis and execute trainings for the on the ground team as per the need.
- Set standards of performance with the F&B vendor on 6S and No-Downtime.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 12 years experience in food and beverage management
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management
- Expertise in procurement, inventory management, and quality control
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact with senior leadership
- Team player and effective leader with strong interpersonal skills
- Strong budgeting, cost control, and reporting skills
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office and data analytics
- In-depth knowledge of local food safety regulations and compliance standards
- Certifications in food safety (FOSTAC, ISO 22000)
