Global Consulting Services (GCS) works globally across practices and borders to support Deloitte’s Strategy, Risk & Transactions (SR&T) and Technology & Transformation (T&T) businesses. The team is focused on offerings our clients and people the global experience that’s essential in today’s world. Through GCS, we provide innovative solutions for cross-cultural, cross-border challenges our teams may encounter around the world. The Consulting Services Strategy team is part of the broader Global Consulting Services (GCS) group and is responsible for setting the business strategy, driving alignment across the network and acting as the concierge and knowledge partner for our business teams. The GCS Strategy projects are typically high impact, high visibility, often involving collaboration across different dimensions of our business (inc. Member Firms, Offerings, Industries, Growth, Sales, etc.).

Overview of the role

  • Work on research-based insights to drive strategic decision making for GCS leadership
  • Drive in-depth qualitative and quantitative analysis by connecting various pieces of information, identifying patterns and forming logical structure to present a compelling story (Financial analysis, and strategic frameworks are used extensively in the team’s output)
  • Typical projects could include
    • Strategy development for business
    • Development of business cases for investment
    • Business economic analysis
    • Competitive intelligence and financial performance analysis
    • Market research and analysis
    • Other strategic initiatives to enable Global and MF leaders in decision making
  • Provide advise and insights to senior Deloitte practitioners for ongoing and anticipatory needs of the business
  • Present key findings using strong business writing and storyboarding skills adhering to brand guidelines and statutes
  • Work with global colleagues and stakeholders to understand, refine, and manage project expectations and priorities
  • Participate in team level operational and brainstorming activities
  • Execute projects ensuring adherence to mandated quality and agreed timelines

Key responsibilities

  • Work on key strategic projects for Deloitte’s Global Consulting Services business
  • Conduct business, market and competitor research and analysis to support strategy development
  • Support development of hypotheses, identification of key business questions, conducting data driven analysis (quantitative and qualitative) to provide meaningful insights and actionable recommendations
  • Support priority programs and investments at a business level
  • Develop knowledge of the business and priority initiatives to share insights and trends as appropriate
  • Support planning and execution of critical leadership meetings, including drafting agenda, organizing meetings and supporting in post-meeting actions
  • Support team in partnering with senior leaders and their teams to drive global alignment around strategic priorities
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to execute requirements and enhance deliverables
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other business teams to help deliver priority initiatives and enable sharing of best practices

Requisite core skills

  • Strong core consulting skills – i.e., research, financial analysis, business writing, including logical data structuring and proficiency in storyboarding techniques
  • Strong story boarding skills on PowerPoint and in building narratives and memos 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead/co-lead initiatives given aggressive timelines and adapt approaches to different cultures, communication and working styles
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including ability to develop a network among primary stakeholders across the thread/team
  • High attention to detail, responsiveness, and strong track record of executing high-impact initiatives
  • Experienced in collaborating effectively across team and career levels, including virtual team environment
  • Proactive, self-motivated, ability to work independently with minimal guidance and manage multiple projects
  • Highly developed personal and professional ethics are expected
  • Must possess the ability to handle highest level of confidential information
  • Good to have proficiency in usage of Gen AI tools (Chat GPT, CO pilot etc.)
  • Good to have knowledge on coding skills on Python 

Qualifications, experience, work location, and timing

We are looking for a passionate, high energy, and self-motivated individual who is accustomed to working independently and collaboratively on small and large projects in a close-knit team.

  • Strong track record with previous teams/business
  • Location: Hyderabad
  • Hybrid working: The individual is expected to come to the base office location at least 2 days a week as per the hybrid plan
