Work you’ll do
The current opening is for a senior manager (AVP) who works across US and USI teams to deliver learning and development solutions that focus on market differentiation, leading talent experiences, and process improvements. The scope of work for this position will cover:
1) Leading strategic initiatives and operational processes related but not limited to cohort learning, faculty management, communications, reporting, compliance, course maintenance, and vendor processes, with a lens towards efficiency, increased usage of AI tools and consistency.
2) Partnering with learning and development team members to create strategic presentations for senior leaders regarding learning and development initiatives.
3) Delivering work products focused on building impact and relevance to business needs by evaluating learner feedback and business-recommended changes.
4) Collaborating with SMEs and US and USI stakeholders to develop, update, and deliver program content, ensuring that it is relevant and effective.
5) Promoting a culture of collaboration and agility within a team environment, bringing out the best in each person.
Job Responsibilities:
Strategy & Vision:
o Work with learning leads and key business stakeholders to outline learning and development strategies for key processes (e.g., faculty management, vendor management, intake & prioritization) across US and USI teams.
o Partner with learning leads to gather and provide input into the annual plan and budget for assigned learning areas.
o Create executive level presentations to be used in senior leader discussions.
Program Management:
o Work with a team to plan and execute project plans that meet project deadlines and business expectations.
o Deliver all aspects of assigned development programs, partnering with the business, vendors and HR teams as appropriate. This may include participant registration, facilitator onboarding and retention, train-the-trainer workshops and end-to-end program management.
o Continuously identify opportunities for efficiency in all aspects of program management.
o Ensure positive practitioner experience through delivery and seek feedback regularly to determine ROI.
o Partner with the learning delivery and evaluations teams to use best-in-class core talent development processes for communications, classroom delivery, metrics, reporting, and solution support.
Communications, Metrics, and Reporting
o Draft communications (e.g., monthly pulse) that highlight team’s accomplishments and upcoming activities that meet both business needs and internal team communications.
o Identify and outline KPIs/metrics for strategic initiatives that align to business outcomes.
o Demonstrate initiative in gathering feedback and data from practitioners, improving learning and development programs, and constantly moving learning to the next level.
o Produce metric scorecards and coordinate monthly updates for key business stakeholders and internal channel needs.
Design
o Partner with SMEs and learning and development teams to ensure training materials are most up to date.
o Provide input into the development and maintenance of learning and development roadmaps to build and deliver required capabilities.
o Continuously look for new ways to bring leading edge technologies and concepts to enhance the learning of practitioners.
o Lead the design and delivery of uniquely offered learning programs (e.g., specialist curriculum).
o Work on building development journeys for the end-to-end development of the identified cohorts.
People Management
o Drive the performance management process and development strategy for team members through regular coaching and mentoring of an integrated US/USI team.
The key job accountabilities include the following:
· Operational excellence – client satisfaction, information and reporting, quality of services and work products, timeliness and efficiency - assessed through observation, manager and client feedback
· Financial management – Financial planning for responsibility area, managing period wise variance between reforecast and actual to within +-10%
· Team management – support engagement, performance management, development and retention of the larger team – assessed through observation and team feedback
· Management of issues, risks, and continuous improvement – assessed through event-based observation
Qualifications
Graduation: Any graduation degree
Post-graduation: DTD (ISTD), MBA/ PGDBA/ PGDBM or equivalent degree
Experience:
Overall 14+ years of progressively complex experience in Learning and Development/Talent Development in matrixed organizations focused on international markets.
Experience in overall training process management, training needs identification, learning strategy and design (especially for technology-related programs), vendor management, project management, cross-border stakeholder management, financial management
Job location: Hyderabad
Work Model – 2 days’ work from Office, 3 days work from home
Timings – 2pm to 11pm IST as support hours. (3:30am to 12:30pm EST)
Preferred skills:
· Executive communications & storytelling (PowerPoint)
· Build crisp, executive-ready presentations: strategy updates, business reviews, board/steerco materials, decision memos.
· Turn ambiguous inputs into clear narratives (problem → insight → recommendation → action plan).
· Analytical problem solving (Excel)
· To be able to work on excel effectively for overall data analysis …example: capacity planning, scenario analysis, KPI dashboards, and financial/business cases.
· Validate data integrity, reconcile discrepancies, and communicate assumptions and sensitivities.
· Executive presence/communications: clear and concise verbal/written communication.
· Strategic & independent thinking: frames complex problems quickly, forms hypotheses, validates with data, and recommends a path forward.
· Must be able create business value of Learning initiatives
· Action-oriented with focus on delivery and timelines
· High customer orientation/relationship building skills, excellent interpersonal skills and project management
· Strong orientation towards contemporary trends in adult learning, and training. Demonstrated ability to put theory into practice
· Analyze data in order to unearth performance gaps and validate hypotheses. Strong proficiency in using MS Office tools, including MS Excel
· Strong orientation towards and understanding of contemporary technology trends in general, and technology related training in particular
· Familiarity with learning technologies—ability to independently work with cutting-edge technologies and enable their quick and wide adoption in the space of learning
