Role and Team: Manager, Deloitte Leadership & Human Potential (DL&HP)

Portfolio: Cross Team Portfolio (Utility) in Milestones, Social Impact & Transitions team (MST)

The team

Deloitte Leadership and Human Potential (L&HP) is focused on delivering a leading-edge, branded learning experience across the firm, emphasizing human capabilities as complementary to technical ones and setting the standard for creating growth-oriented and inclusive professionals and leaders for the future of work. DL&HP will include focus areas ranging from the humanities – integrating purpose; diversity, equity and inclusion; well-being; Enduring Human Capabilities (curiosity, informed agility, resilience, connected teaming, divergent thinking, and social and emotional intelligence)—to coaching and leading people and teams, communication skills, growth and sales, industry and market skills, and client leadership.

Work you’ll do

Supporting different portfolios within the DLHP team, your primary focus is curriculum development activities – leveraging SMRs and existing materials, using curriculum design skills and frameworks to impact the design of programs, and then also  playing the role of a program manager by bringing in a learning POV in conversations with top leadership and internal L&D teams / Leads to understand their learning needs by leveraging in-person connections, constant monitoring of the external learning environment in the field of executive education, new hire learning, social impact learning, and reviewing deliverables for accuracy & quality.

Components of the role:

Strategy Development

15%

Ÿ  Conduct external research to find impactful leading-edge capability-building strategies, partnerships, and programs to support strategy implementation.

Ÿ  Appreciate and undertake the organizations movement towards a skills-based approach mindset to learning

Ÿ  Serve as a strategic advisor to business leaders by providing insights and recommendations on workforce capability needs, skills-gap analysis, learning trends, and best practices to support long-term organizational growth.

Ÿ  Monitor and evaluate the impact of learning initiatives on business outcomes, using metrics and feedback to continuously refine and enhance the learning strategy.

Stakeholder Relationship Management

Ÿ  Build effective relationships with key stakeholders related to development projects. These range from Staff, Senior Staff, Managers, Senior Managers, SVPs, PPMDs, other USI LFHP team members, L&D SPOCs of other businesses, external empaneled vendor partners, US team members etc.

Ÿ  Prepare draft presentations and reports to support stakeholder meetings.

Ÿ  Participate in or lead project teams to build positive, collaborative partnerships among business stakeholders, and peers.

Ÿ  Maintain relationships with content-based leads (SMRs).

Ÿ  Collaborate with Talent Services (Learning Development, Learning Operations, and Learning Delivery) to create and deliver leading-edge learning solutions.

Operations Management

Ÿ  Identify areas for operational improvement, process efficiencies, making suggestions and driving change to gain efficiencies and improve learning impact.

Ÿ  Run and analyze reports to provide preliminary insights on program success to build on learning efficiencies.

Ÿ  Manage all activities to be on-time and within budget, tracking against original plan to determine efficiency.

Ÿ  Support cross-team operational initiatives as needed.

Ÿ  Have an execution approach to getting things done when playing the role of a Program Manager, oversee PMO activities: Plan and execute curriculum development activities; leverage SMRs and existing materials; articulate deliverables for accuracy and quality.

Ÿ  Execute the CPE/certification process from objective mapping to form submission to participant receiving credits.

Ÿ  Collaborate with Learning Operations to maintain accurate curriculum data integrity, maintain historical archives, and respond to ad hoc requests for curriculum information.

Curriculum Management

Ÿ  Support leadership and human potential skills development teams across career levels in the green dot learning portfolio in USI: clearly articulate learning needs from different learning team applicable at green dot to form USI learning strategies.

Ÿ  Work closely with the DLHP leads in crafting and delivering development journeys by adhering to a lifecycle approach to support New Hire Learning portfolio, Social Impact Portfolio and special programs at PPMD & Senior Leadership level in the USI region.

Ÿ  Demonstrate strong knowledge of design principles, development tools, modalities, and learning methodologies.

Ÿ  Understand and align with the overall DLHP development strategy, and appropriately accommodate USI-specific needs.

Ÿ  Bring in industry-best practices of design principles while proposing 1:1 and cohort based learning journeys

Ÿ  Craft end-to-end participant journey, facilitator sourcing, and all related communications.

Ÿ  Execute assigned programs within budget and timeline.

Ÿ  Contribute to a positive teaming environment which encourages sharing of best practices, driving innovation, and continuing improvement.

Ÿ  Participate in performance rating, appraisal cycles, solicit and provide feedback, engage in difficult conversations & prepare business cases for promotions.

Qualifications and Work Experience:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 12 years of related professional experience
  • Collaborative mindset to share and implement best practices.
  • Strong instructional design skills, curriculum design skills,
  • Demonstrated project and program management experience: organization, managing details, keeping multiple learning & development tasks/projects on track
  • Performance management and formal team leading experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively and credibly, both verbally and in writing, with audiences at all management levels
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced, complex, multi-tasking virtual environment
  • Ability to present to a senior audience (Senior Managers and above)
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Up to 20% travel could be required based on role responsibilities

Preferred:

·       Experience working in a learning and development team

·       Prior consulting or professional services experience
