Executive Manager – Curriculum Design, Deloitte Leadership and Human Potential (DLHP)

Work you’ll do

As an Executive Manager in the Leadership Foundations and Human Potential (LFHP) team in DLHP, you will manage the efforts across research, ideation, design, development, and facilitationdirectly leading the design team while collaborating with program management teams. Your objective will be to deliver innovative learning and development solutions that align with our talent development strategy and drive desired business outcomes, on time and within budget. Your day-to-day duties, tasks, and responsibilities include:

Strategy Development (10%)

  • Support the creation of curriculum roadmaps based on lifecycles.
  • Ensure that learning solutions align with DLHP’s strategy, priorities, and enablers.
  • Analyze and compare diverse research findings and alternative solutions to inform decisions.
  • Guide the process of translating conceptual and contextual research into actionable frameworks and solutions, ensuring alignment with the overall learning strategy.

Stakeholder Relationship Management (10%)

  • Build and maintain relationships with SMEs and business stakeholders.
  • Oversee and nurture partnerships with key L&D work groups—including internal design, risk, technology, and review teams, program owners, and L&D peers across the business.
  • Serve as a proactive business advisor and learning expert, guiding stakeholders in understanding and leveraging the L&D portfolio(s) and solutions.  
  • Manage relationships and contracts with L&D vendors.

Curriculum Design and Management (50%)

  • Lead the design and development of innovative learning solutions that transform conceptual research into engaging experiences, enabling the effective transfer and application of key skills to learners.
  • Leverage design thinking, instructional design, and user experience skills to create learner-centered experiences that align with learning industry trends and best practices (i.e., personalized, AI-powered, and collaborative learning, including Learning in the Flow of Work (LITFOW), data-driven learning, etc.)
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal thought leaders, academic partners, and SMRs, while leveraging digital platforms to accelerate learning outcomes.
  • Provide an agile development environment that adapts to evolving learner needs and market dynamics.
  • Maintain a bias for scalability in learning solutions and maximizing the return on time invested for learners.
  • Collaborate with L&D teams, SMRs, program managers, participants and IFT to evaluate and enhance the learning portfolio’s reach and impact, ensuring alignment with evolving needs of both the business, learners, and locations.
  • Cultivate industry and sector expertise to serve as an advisor for senior leaders, offering insights on emerging trends, opportunities, and risks, and seamlessly integrating these insights into learning solutions.


Operations Management (30%)

  • Assess and evaluate the instructional integrity and delivery of programs against learning objectives and recommendations provided in facilitator guides, TTTs, and additional support materials.
  • Engage and mobilize teams by revisiting priorities as needed to drive prioritized efforts and enable continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to monitor the effectiveness of core curricula and supplemental instructional materials.
  • Leverage dashboards, reports, and data-driven insights to track performance trends and analyze learner behavior, informing next steps and driving strategic improvements.
  • Partner with budget owners to inform macro and micro plans, when needed, in alignment with the L&D strategy.
  • Provide quarterly reports that highlight portfolio achievements, outline upcoming initiatives, and propose action plans.
  • Lead cross-portfolio operational and learning initiatives at the DLHP level when required.
  • Collaborate with the Strategy and Operations team to review TPRMs for vendor-based efforts and secure required risk approvals for learning solutions when needed.
  • Set project priorities, manage multiple project threads, identify weekly risks with mitigation plans, and deliver periodic status updates to stakeholders who are accountable and need to be informed.
  • Offer coaching and feedback to core team members to ensure transparency and foster productive work relationships.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; Minimum 12+ years of related experience in learning and development at large global organizations
  • Ability to work with ambiguity in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Collaborative mindset to share and implement best practices
  • Strong instructional and user experience design skills, with an understating of AI in learning, and project management
  • Consultative approach toward clients
  • Sound leadership skills
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
  • Travel up to 20%

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in designing leadership and professional skills programs for global audiences
  • Background in or exposure to psychology and organizational behavior
  • Prior consulting or professional services experience
