The Technical Lead – Security Technology Operations (STO) is accountable for the architecture, reliability, security, and continuous improvement of enterprise security technology platforms. This role provides hands-on technical leadership and operational governance for solutions supporting physical security, monitoring, incident response, and compliance. The role serves as a key interface between Security Operations, Information Technology (IT), vendors/integrators, and business stakeholders to ensure secure, resilient, and scalable security technology services.
Key Responsibilities
1) Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Own end-to-end architecture, integration, and lifecycle management of security technology platforms, including:
- Video Management Systems (VMS)
- Access Control Systems (ACS)
- Visitor Management Systems
- Video analytics and AI/ML-enabled security tools
- Define and maintain technical standards, reference architectures, configuration baselines, and operational best practices.
- Lead technology evaluations, proofs of concept (POCs), technical assessments, and implementation recommendations.
- Provide design assurance for new deployments, upgrades, and integrations across sites and environments.
2) Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Ensure security technology platforms align with enterprise cybersecurity requirements and secure-by-design practices.
- Manage operational security activities including:
- Vulnerability assessments and remediation
- Firmware/patch management
- End-of-Life (EoL)/End-of-Support (EoS) risk identification and mitigation planning
- Partner with Cybersecurity, IT, and Risk teams to support:
- Secure configuration and access controls
- Audit evidence and compliance readiness (e.g., ISO 27001, ISO 22301, SOC2)
3) Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary technical escalation point for OEMs, integrators, and managed service providers.
- Drive vendor performance management, issue escalation, service quality, and roadmap alignment.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Physical Security, Real Estate/Office Experience, T&I teams, and business stakeholders to deliver integrated outcomes.
4) Strategy & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the security technology roadmap and multi-year planning aligned to business growth and risk posture.
- Identify and execute opportunities to:
- Reduce operational and technology risk
- Improve user/guard experience and supportability
- Enable office expansions and refresh programs
- Optimize cost through standardization and lifecycle planning
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with enterprise physical security platforms, including:
- VMS (e.g., exacq Vision, VideoEdge, Axis, Pelco or equivalent)
- Access Control Systems (e.g., C•CURE 9000 / Software House, HID or equivalent)
- Solid network fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, routing/switching basics, firewalls, and troubleshooting in enterprise environments.
- Working knowledge of on-prem and cloud-based security technology architectures.
- Experience with API integrations, automation, and integrating security platforms with enterprise services.
- Understanding physical security and cybersecurity convergence (identity/access, logging, segmentation, hardening).
Leadership & Soft Skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead technically complex, high-availability environments and influence outcomes across teams.
- Strong problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and operational decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders; able to translate requirements into actionable designs and runbooks.
- Comfortable operating in high-risk situations requiring structured incident response and clear escalation.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of working experience on C•CURE 9000 and exacqVision (VMS)
- Relevant product certifications (e.g., C•CURE 9000, exacqVision) preferred.
- Experience supporting Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) and/or local Security Operations Center (SOC) environments.
- Exposure to AI-based video analytics and smart security/edge analytics platforms.

Work Location:
The position is based out of Hyderabad or Bengaluru and expected to travel around USI to support Security Technology Operations
Work Timing: 9AM – 6PM / 11 AM - 8 PM
