BCM Specialist -Assistant Manager/ Deputy Manager

The BCM Specialist role sits within the Business Continuity & Resilience team in the USI Office of Security. This role is responsible for developing, testing, maintaining, and refining Deloitte’s Business Continuity Management (BCM) program for the US India offices.
The BCM Specialist works with stakeholders across Security, Office Operations, Cyber & Technology, Office Management, and the business to design, implement, and sustain business continuity and recovery capabilities that help keep critical services available during disruptions. The BCM specialist supports USI BCM Lead by providing subject matter expertise to strengthen planning and enable effective incident response.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with US BCM team and stakeholders across Businesses and Enterprise Solutions channels to develop, maintain, test, and refine business continuity and local crisis plans and strategies for all USI offices.
- Provide BCM subject matter expertise to business stakeholders as necessary.
- Support the US BCM team and other stakeholders during annual Business Impact Analysis, as required.
- Perform Risk Assessments for various locations and functions, analyzing potential business impact of unpredictable business interruptions such as natural disasters, security breach, regulatory actions, and civil unrest.
- Support monitoring and coordination of initial response to incidents or emerging threats that may impact business operations.
- Support onsite audit and compliance activities. Participate in internal and external audits (including ISO 22301, 27001, SSAE, CMMI, client or third-party audits).
- Support business/client specific BCM activities/requirements including audits.
- Develop and facilitate practice drills/exercises based on established plans.
- Support training security and office operations staff about incident management, emergency procedures, and business continuity.
- Work with office operations and security staff and government agencies to align the organization’s emergency management plan with established best practices and community standards.
- Support other USI Office of Security priorities and projects, as required.
Required Skills
- 6-10 years prior experience working in a business continuity or security operations role in a large organization.
- Working knowledge in the areas of physical security operations, emergency/disaster management, CPTED principles, risk management, and crisis management.
- Strong knowledge of incident response, escalation frameworks, and crisis coordination across global operations.
- Strong documentation skills (SOPs, playbooks, training programs, and governance routines) and process discipline (controls evidence, audit trails, action tracking).
- Experience with risk assessment, threat analysis, and other reports/briefings.
· Confidence to make decisions on short notice with little to no oversight.
- Executive presence; ability to interact confidently with senior leaders and stakeholders; committed to discretion and confidentiality.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills; calm, decisive actions during high-pressure incidents.
- Willingness to work outside normal business hours (nights/weekends) and travel across India based on operational needs.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent); master’s degree preferred
- Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Familiarity with common tools and applications used for access control, visitor management, video surveillance, intrusion detection, alarm monitoring, mass notification, and public address systems is preferred.
- Comfortable with new technology and applications
Work Location:
The position is based out of Hyderabad or Bengaluru and expected to travel around USI to support Security Technology Operations
Work Timing: 9AM – 6PM / 11 AM - 8PM
Certifications (one or more preferred)
- ISO 22301 (lead implementer/auditor)
- Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) / DRI credentials
- Certified Professional (CPP) / Certified Physical Security Professional (PSP)
