Assistant Manager—Commercial Excellence—Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to increase the win rate for Deloitte’s largest and most important deals. The purpose of the Commercial Excellence Team is to help win deals and improve profitability through compelling pricing and commercial propositions for our clients. The team provides expert advice on all commercial aspects of the firm’s client proposals, with a primary focus on higher value, more complex deals and the firm’s most important Nordic clients.

The team operates across all industries (ranging from Financial Services, Consumer, Energy & Resources, Technology, Media and Telecoms, through to public sector) with a focus on building relationships, knowledge and insights regarding the different commercial environment each industry presents. The team also provides advice and support on the pricing and commercials for new products, services or solutions developed by Deloitte.

What will be your role?

We aim to become the largest professional services firm in the Nordics by continuously innovating, evolving, and adapting to meet client’s needs. To achieve this, we need to strengthen our commercial team to support our most complex deals, to our most important clients. You will play a key role in our Nordic Commercial Support team. As our Nordic Commercial Strategist your role will be to structure and shape commercial solutions to respond to our client’s requirements and challenges and to help win business and enhance margin. You will work closely with the Nordic Pursuit Excellence Team and the stakeholders for our major Nordic accounts to shape commercial arrangements and you will report to the Nordic Commercial Lead.

The core responsibilities of your role include:

  • Structuring, analysing and shaping the commercial solutions
  • Assisting in developing the pricing strategies and structures for proposals, to demonstrate greatest value to clients and win more deals.
  • Helping account teams to design and implement commercial strategies to enhance profitability and grow revenues for Deloitte’s most important Nordic clients.
  • Supporting the development of commercial expertise across the firm through knowledge sharing, guidance and best practice deployed by the team and supporting the delivery of training activity.
  • Contributing to a high performing team and bring ideas to shape how the Commercial Support team plays its parts in driving business success.

Work Location: Hyderabad

Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM

The team

The bids and pursuits team provides end-to-end support across all stages of pursuits (RFXs and proactive pursuits). The team works in collaboration with the global stakeholders and account teams to deliver high quality and best-in-class proposals to end clients to leverage Deloitte’s brand while delivering outstanding service. Qualifications

Work experience and technical pre-requisites

YoE - Minimum 5+ years of experience

• Degree educated, preferably in Finance, Economics, or related business discipline. Formal accountancy/MBA would be an advantage

• Relevant experience in large deals in IT, Consulting specifically in a professional services firm/Organization environment preferred

· Strong competence in the use of MS-Excel

• Basic knowledge of deal construct options

• Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills as well as ability to communicate both verbally and in writing to an audience of senior management

• Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team

• Experience with writing commercial terms for inclusion in contractual documentation

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with gravitas, confidence, and credibility to engage with leadership

• Flexibility to meet peaks of work inherent in the cycle of a deal
