Senior Analyst – Power BI – Developer and Integration Specialist - Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited
Join the team aligned to Central Business Services and collaborate as part of an extended Middle East team to build and maintain strong working relationships across the business. The primary purpose of this role is to design, develop, and support Power BI reports, dashboards, and data solutions that enable effective business decision-making. The role is also responsible for managing data integrations across multiple systems and sources, ensuring data quality, consistency, and reliability. In addition, the individual will troubleshoot reporting and integration issues, enhance existing BI solutions, and provide guidance to end users on reporting capabilities and best practices to drive adoption and business value.
Work you’ll do
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Power BI Developer and Integration Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role requires a strong focus on data integration, modelling, performance optimization, and security, alongside leadership in dashboard development and ongoing enhancements.
The key job responsibilities include the following:
- Data Integration
- Build and refine transformation logic to seamlessly integrate data from multiple source systems into a consistent and reliable reporting layer within Power BI.
- Collaborate with data engineers and source system owners to ensure data quality and integrity during integration processes.
- Data Modelling Architecture
- Design and maintain scalable, well-structured data models that ensure accuracy, high performance, and future extensibility.
- Implement best practices in data modelling to support complex business analytics and reporting needs.
- DAX Measures and Calculation Logic
- Develop and optimise complex DAX calculations to accurately translate business KPIs into reliable and actionable analytical outputs.
- Troubleshoot and refine existing DAX formulas to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Performance Optimisation
- Continuously monitor and improve report load times, data refresh efficiency, and overall model performance.
- Implement strategies to enhance visual responsiveness and user experience in Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Row-Level Security (RLS) Configuration
- Implement and manage robust row-level security configurations to ensure secure, role-based data access across different business units and user groups.
- Regularly review and update security settings to comply with organisational policies and data governance standards.
- Dashboard Development
- Design, develop, and enhance interactive and visually compelling dashboards aligned with evolving business requirements.
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective Power BI visualisations.
Lead ongoing enhancements and maintenance of Power BI reports and dashboards to ensure they remain relevant and accurate.
· Manage monthly data uploads and updates, including:
- Monthly revenue data
- RTC (Rest to complete)
- Manual adjustments
- Blue’s Opportunities data (or other specified datasets)
- Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as a Power BI Developer with strong expertise in data integration, modelling, and DAX.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
- Experience in designing and implementing row-level security in Power BI.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead integration efforts across teams.
- Familiarity with SQL and other data query languages is highly desirable.

Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM IST
Qualifications and skills (Must have)
- Any Graduate / Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field
- Strong hands-on experience building and maintaining Power BI dashboards, reports, and datasets, including DAX, Power Query, and performance tuning in Power BI Service.
- Solid data integration background: connecting data from databases, APIs, and flat files, plus strong SQL skills for complex queries, stored procedures, and ETL work.
- Familiarity with SSRS for report design, deployment, subscriptions, and monitoring.
- Good understanding of data modeling, especially star schema and snowflake schema, plus strong visualization best practices.
- Experience integrating Power BI with the broader Microsoft ecosystem, such as Azure, Dynamics 365, Power BI Gateway, Premium, Embedded, and mobile capabilities.
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical reporting solutions.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with clients and cross-functional teams.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Data Analyst / Power BI certifications (PL-300) are preferred.
- Experience working with large datasets and familiarity with Agile delivery are also helpful.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets and solve problems creatively.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, planning market research projects, and taking ownership of deliverables.
- Effective stakeholder management, vendor coordination, and experience working with third-party service providers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with stakeholders and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Highly organized, structured, and detail-oriented in task execution.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
