About Instrumentation Team
The Instrumentation Team, part of Deloitte’s Brand Marketing & Communications organization, makes marketing smarter and more effective by harnessing data, analytics, and cutting-edge technology. Specializing in data science, machine learning, GenAI, and advanced analytics, the team delivers actionable insights and AI-powered solutions that elevate marketing strategy and execution. What you will do
This role will interface with a variety of teams within the Clients, Marketing, Accounts, and Growth organizations and the broader firm. This individual will be expected to demonstrate strong project & and stakeholder management skills, a solid understanding of data warehouse and data visualization, and sharp business acumen to build and implement solutions that affect real change and add tangible functional value to our end users. The professional would also be responsible for mining and analysis of marketing performance data, creating advanced queries and reports, and working closely with the other teams in support of cross business brand to demand marketing programs. This individual will be expected to demonstrate both technical and business acumen to build and implement solutions that affect real change and add tangible functional value to our end users.
Key responsibilities:
· Strong Data Analysis: Demonstrate expertise in SQL, ETL processes, data warehouse management, and data architecture to design, build, and maintain robust data solutions.
· Execute Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) using BI tools, Python to enabe deeper statistical insights and predictive analytics
· Develop, and prototype data validation and automation workflows with Alteryx/Python.
· Stakeholder Communication: Proactively communicate with business stakeholders to understand business and functional requirements, translating them into clear technical specifications.
· Independent Work Management: Manage own workload independently, providing regular updates via Agile ceremonies (Microsoft ADO) and team calls.
· Data Issue Resolution: Identify, investigate, and resolve data issues; recommend improvements for data quality and alignment.
· Reporting Support: Provide analytical and reporting support for marketing campaigns, industries, and post-campaign analysis.
· Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to support effective visualization and communication of analytics results.
· Presentation and Executive Communications: Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring clarity for non-technical audiences.
· Process Improvement: Contribute to the development of scalable processes for insight mining and decision support.
Skills and Abilities:
· 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in data analytics
· Advanced proficiency in SQL, ETL tools (e.g., Alteryx), data warehouse management, and data architecture.
· Strong exploratory data analysis (EDA) skills.
· Experience with foundational data science concepts and workflows (statistical analysis, supervised/unsupervised learning, model evaluation).
· Experience with Python-based data science libraries (pandas, scikit-learn, matplotlib, seaborn, etc.)
· Bonus: Hands-on experience creating and deploying simple machine learning models.
· Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
· Good people interaction skills: ability to manage complex stakeholder requests
· Effective presentation and storyboarding skills
· Knowledge of digital marketing concepts and measurement tools and techniques.
· Understands and have working experience in data warehouse management, data architecture, and development of business intelligence applications and reporting.
· Executive presence with the ability to present ideas, make recommendations, provide rationale,
· Prior experience working on a virtual team within a highly matrixed organization, preferably for a global corporation or professional services firm
· Microsoft Office Skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); familiarity with integrating various technologies to support marketing efforts
Education
· MBA / master’s degree would be an added advantage
