Within the Global Consulting Services, the GCS Learning Team is a part of the Global Consulting Services People & Purpose pillar and acts as a vital component acting as a connective tissue in creating and sustaining a globally consistent approach in addressing current and future technical and business strategy aligned learning needs of our workforce and the GCS businesses globally. We achieve this through collaboration and partnerships with the Member Firm and Business Leaders for sustained quality, agility, and scale, elevating our talent experience proposition and supporting exponential business growth objectives.
Overview of the role
The professional will act as a strategic enabler and advisor to Global Consulting Services Leaders, driving executive decision making. They will enable global leaders to make strategic decisions that translate into marketplace impact and growth. The professional will help accelerate execution of our Global Consulting Services strategic agenda by delivering high impact strategic projects, simplifying and streamlining operations (reporting, PMO activities etc.), creating compelling and transparent leadership communications to solve the most complex challenges in exponentially powerful ways.
Work you’ll do
The Learning Specialist will work with the Global Consulting Learning team in providing support for the development, refresh, implementation and evaluation of learning programs (e.g. eLearning, Virtual Instructor Led, and Live Instructor Led). The individual will also work with updating and maintaining global curricula.
Key relationships include the 15+ person Global Consulting Services Learning & Development team, member firm/global business learning leaders, Global Business stakeholders, as well as colleagues across the broader Global Consulting Services team of 400.
TRAVEL: Travel to leadership meetings, regional DUs, or team meetings may be required, approximately 1 trip annually.
Key responsibilities
- Strategic Insights: Work with Learning Portfolio Leads to devise optimum management and execution of strategic plan and priorities aligned to designated portfolios, surfacing common areas of synergy and collaboration amongst the learning portfolios. Guide and advise MF/Geo learning teams and key business stakeholders on optimal learning approaches.
- Leadership/Talent Development: Be a proactive participant in a high-performing, inclusive, and collaborative culture across the GCS team, channel partners, and stakeholder group. Be a people champion and adhere to “ways of working” document.
- Operational Excellence: Deliver all operational requirements as agreed and with the support of the Learning portfolio leads. In collaboration with the broader GCS team, channel partners and stakeholder group as required, team members will thoughtfully execute projects with a human design centric approach with a focus on agility, quality and scale (e.g. budget / resource consideration, KPIs, reporting, sustainment).
- Collaboration & Connectivity: Maintain connectivity amongst each team member (leaning on each other’s strengths) and between learning portfolio stakeholder groups to surface common areas of synergy and collaboration. The team members will thoughtfully tap onto channel partners to bring scale and agility to execution, as agreed with portfolio leads.
- Technical expertise: Work with the portfolio leads in delivering projects by bringing in your learning expertise into the project execution (Includes but not limited to Learning business partnering, learning needs analysis, experience design, content creation, curation, curriculum design, PMO, and eminence & thought leadership)
- Project management: Own project initiatives, as discussed and with the support of learning portfolio leads. Keep leads up to date on other responsibilities and proactively provide project statuses.

Requisite Core Skills
- Proven track record within the Deloitte network of member firms OR successful experience working in a comparable global professional services organization required
- Proficiency in designing effective training programs using various instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM)
- Experience with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia) and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Ability to create engaging and informative training materials, including manuals, guides, and multimedia content
- Skills in analysing training data to measure effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
- Competence in managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets
- Experience in learning curriculum design and development
- Demonstrated ability to manage project teams and initiatives effectively
- Experience working effectively and happily in a fast paced, matrix and global virtual environment will be an added advantage
Qualifications, experience, work location, and timing
We are looking for a passionate, high energy, and self-motivated individual who is accustomed to working independently and collaboratively on small and large projects in a close-knit team.
- Academic qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Training and Development, Human Resources Development, Education, Organizational Psychology/Development or similar preferred
- Work experience: 4+ years of professional experience and experience in program delivery and planning, learning support, or learning design and development. Experience working closely with senior leaders also required.
- Strong track record with previous employment, preferably with consulting firms or corporate strategy
- Location: Hyderabad
- Comfortable working with team members and stakeholders across geographies and time zones
Work hours: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM and 02:00 PM – 11:00 PM (expected to be flexible with time zones)
- Working from office: The individual is expected to come to office at least 2 days a week as per the ‘work from office’ schedule
