Within the Global Consulting Services, the
Offerings & Assets team advances the Firm's strategy by focusing on key initiatives and collaborating with other GCS pillar teams to expedite strategic projects. They streamline platform operations, create new operating models, and ensure seamless platform integration. Deloitte's asset-enabled offerings are technology-driven solutions designed to address clients' business challenges and unlock future opportunities innovatively.  

Overview of the role

The professional will act as a strategic enabler and advisor to Global Consulting Services Leaders, driving executive decision making. They will enable global leaders to make strategic decisions that translates into marketplace impact and growth. The professional will help accelerate execution of our Global Consulting Services strategic agenda by delivering high impact strategic projects, simplifying and streamlining operations (reporting, PMO activities etc.), creating compelling and transparent leadership communications to solve the most complex challenges in exponentially powerful ways.

The Global O&A Operations Projects Lead will work directly with the Global O&A Chief of Staff, Global O&A Operations Officer, and the broader Global O&A delegate/Chief of Staff team to lead operation processes and priority operational initiatives.

Work you’ll do

The professional will work with the India colleagues and senior leaders across global consulting services practice. The professional will need to develop a knowledge of the firm’s Consulting Services business, strategic priorities to enable sharing of insights, trends and escalation of issues/variances as appropriate. They will drive the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, synthesize outcomes, demonstrate strong analytical and business writing skills, offer team guidance including project reviews, and develop impactful narratives with recommendations based on research and analysis. The team’s projects are typically high-impact and high-visibility aligned to the global firm and Consulting Services leadership’s strategic priorities. Projects often involve collaboration across workstreams to ensure coordination and alignment.

Key responsibilities

    • Work on key strategic projects for Deloitte’s Global Consulting Services business – Lead development of hypotheses, identification of key business questions, conducting data driven analysis (quantitative and qualitative) to provide meaningful insights and actionable recommendations
    • Partner with senior leaders and Global O&A delegate community teams to drive global alignment around strategic priorities
    • Demonstrate solid project management skills, taking ownership of a core project from start to finish, and seamlessly support and switch to different workstreams as required and act as a collaborator to/with the Global O&A operations team in executing various administrative, financial, and operational activities
    • Support senior executives in developing executive level documents and facilitate efficient decision-making (PowerPoint presentations, Excel reports, Tableau dashboards etc.) for senior leadership utilizing story boarding skills
    • Collaborate with multiple teams to standardize reporting processes and understand current/future reporting requirements. Additionally, identify new tools and approaches to improve reporting, operational excellence, and insight generation
    • Develop knowledge of the business and priority initiatives to share insights and trends as appropriate.
    • Proactively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to execute requirements, and provide suggestions/automations to enhance deliverables
    • Lead/Co-Lead meeting planning and execution, including drafting agenda, organizing online and offline meetings and document MoM for follow up and accountability
    • Work on Fiscal operations; Budget management, Project Resource contracting process, Member Firm Standards process, Global Design Authority/Global Taxonomy processes, Engaging in O&A priorities and initiatives

Requisite core skills

  • Proactive, self-motivated, ability to work independently with minimal guidance and manage multiple projects
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail, responsiveness, and strong track record of executing high-impact initiatives
  • Strong core consulting skills – i.e. research, financial analysis, business writing, including logical data structuring and proficiency in storyboarding techniques to derive meaningful insights
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead/co-lead initiatives given aggressive timelines and adapt approaches to different cultures, communication styles, and working styles
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including ability to develop a network among primary stakeholders across the thread/team.  Adept at building consensus and taking stakeholders’ perspective into account while forging and maintaining relationships
  • Experienced in collaborating effectively across team and career levels, including virtual team environment
  • Highly developed personal and professional ethics are expected
  • Must possess the ability to handle highest level of confidential information
  • Added advantage: Knowledge and previous experience in innovation, strategy & operations, transformational roles
  • Added advantage: Write and edit Macros in Excel, create dashboards on Tableau, PowerBI, SharePoint knowledge and familiarity with online meeting platforms like MS Teams and Zoom
  • Experience in navigating a global, matrixed, and virtual work environment
  • Proven experience building effective working relationships with internal stakeholders across multiple businesses, geographies and culture

Qualifications, experience, work location, and timing

We are looking for a passionate, high energy, and self-motivated individual who is accustomed to working independently and collaboratively on small and large projects in a close-knit team.

    • Academic qualification: Master’s Degree like MBA
    • Work experience: 6+ years of relevant experience
    • Strong track record with previous employment, preferably with consulting firms or corporate strategy
    • Location: Hyderabad
    • Work hours: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM and 02:00 PM – 11:00 PM (expected to be flexible with time zones)
    • Working from office: The individual is expected to come to office at least 2 days a week as per the ‘work from office’ schedule
