Job title: Intela Controls Analyst

This role will support the Global Intela Security & Controls Leader. The role requires understanding, executing and monitoring processes that ensure that the Intela technology platform operates in compliance with the required privacy and data security norms and requirements.  The role will understand current Intela functionality, operating processes and procedures for Controls and will be able to execute these processes and procedures with a high degree of detail orientation.

About the team

Tax teams today face increasingly complex tax requirements, leaner teams, and growing expectations from the C-suite. Deloitte Global Tax & Legal deploys the right team of experts to address the ever-evolving needs of our businesses around the world. Our professionals deliver superior compliance and advisory insights and guidance (local and global) to support our businesses operating in singular or multiple jurisdictions. Intela, our leading-edge global platform, enables tax professionals to focus less on busy work and more on uncovering new insights and driving strategic value.

Work you'll do

As a Global Controls and Security Manager, you will have responsibility for managing the execution of processes supporting global controls, identifying and implementing ongoing process improvements to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of controls operations and collaborating with broader cyber security, privacy and legal teams for incorporating revised guidelines and guidance into controls operations.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Execution of processes for audits of consistency and rigor in accessing provisioning and management
  • Performing control processes related to data security and privacy
  • Working with global teams to gather and review evidence of controls execution as required
  • Identifying and escalating potential controls ‘issues’
  • Maintaining and updating documentation (including reporting templates and operating procedures) on control processes and events
  • Implementing process revisions and improvements based on changes to the platform, regulations and/or technology standards.
  • Supporting cross-team collaboration (e.g., with cyber security, privacy and risk) on data / risk concerns

Qualifications ( please add additional details) 

Required:

  • Work experience: 2-4 years in a multi-national company
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent analytical discipline
  • Tax or audit or compliance practitioner delivery experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong detail orientation
  • Ability to work on multiple activities concurrently
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work virtually
  • Flexibility to support different time zones
  • Participate in the investigation and resolution of security incidents including data breaches. Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures
  • Monitor compliance with relevant security policies, standards and regulations. Prepare regular reports on security posture, control effectiveness and compliance status for senior management

Preferred:

  • Experience in controls or compliance functions
  • Experience with working in global teams
  • Knowledge of Deloitte’s Tax service lines and market offerings
