Introduction to the Team (APAC Analytics and Insights CoE)
The team "APAC Analytics and Operations" provides insights into five major business units (Audit and Assurance, Strategy, Risk & Transactions, Tax & Legal, and Technology & Transformation) and their agile culture.
These business units significantly contribute to overall revenue. The goal is to establish a culture that prioritizes important regional aspects and aligns with Deloitte's priorities. This culture enables employees to act on regional opportunities that may require support.
Role Overview: Senior Analyst - Analytics and Insights
GDN is Global Delivery Network which consists of delivery centers across the globe. Delivery centers cater services to Deloitte member firms around the world. Skillsets of resources in this network can be utilized by member firms’ teams to work on a project and deliver it to the client.
Building a GDN model, demand estimation tool which enables offering, sector, geo, industry, and DC leaders to estimate the demand for future periods based on existing data.
We are looking for a high-performing Senior Analyst to support AP Consulting Business Growth Initiatives, specifically Global Delivery Network Analytics (GDN). This role will coordinate the GDN program and conduct data analytics and create insights for leadership decisions and manage the program’s daily operations.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Analytics and Insights
· Design, build, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards on Tableau Server to provide visibility into forecasted delivery-hour demand vs. actual hours consumed across Global Delivery Network (GDN) delivery centers.
· Develop and manage Tableau Prep Builder flows to cleanse, standardize, join, enrich, and transform source data into curated datasets for reporting and analytics consumption.
· Apply business logic and complex calculations to estimate demand hours and revenue using historical sales, pipeline, and deal data across dimensions such as delivery center, geo/local market, sector, offering/portfolio, industry, deal size, pipeline stage, and period.
· Own publishing, refresh scheduling, monitoring, and performance tuning of Tableau data sources and dashboards; ensure data freshness, accuracy, and consistent metric definitions.
· Troubleshoot and resolve data refresh failures, Tableau Server issues, upstream data quality problems, and calculation discrepancies; perform root-cause analysis and implement preventive controls.
· Partner with offering/sector/geo/industry/DC leaders to gather requirements, validate KPIs, confirm assumptions, and translate demand-planning needs into scalable Tableau assets.
· Drive adoption and enablement: user walkthroughs, office hours, feedback loops, release notes, and continuous improvements to increase usage and trust in insights.
· Maintain strong documentation for datasets, transformation logic, Tableau Prep flows, calculated fields, dashboard definitions, and user guides to ensure auditability and repeatability.
· Identify and implement automation opportunities (e.g., scripting/batch processes) to reduce manual effort, prevent flow re-runs, and improve end-to-end turnaround time.
· Provide operational governance for enhancements (intake, prioritization, testing, deployment) and ensure alignment with data/security standards.
Key Skills Required:
· Tableau (Advanced): dashboard development, calculated fields/LOD expressions, parameters, actions, performance optimization, and visualization best practices.
· Tableau Prep Builder (Advanced): complex joins/unions, aggregations, pivots, incremental logic patterns, reusable flow design, and output management.
· Tableau Server: publishing, permissions, extracts/refresh schedules, monitoring, troubleshooting refresh failures, and performance management.
· Data preparation & analysis: strong ability to work with messy enterprise data; reconcile pipeline vs. sales vs. actuals; ensure metric consistency.
· SQL (Strong): querying, joins, windowing concepts (as applicable), validation checks, and data reconciliation.
· Demand estimation / forecasting logic (Business analytics): translating pipeline + sales signals into practical demand-hour/revenue estimates with documented assumptions.
· Stakeholder management: requirements elicitation, expectation setting, communicating tradeoffs, and managing iterative delivery with multiple leaders.
· Problem solving & incident handling: structured debugging, root-cause analysis, and implementing durable fixes.
· Automation mindset: scripting exposure (batch/PowerShell or equivalent) and workflow streamlining to reduce cycle time and errors.
· Communication & documentation: clear, client-ready storytelling, dashboard usability focus, and strong written documentation.
Qualifications
Required
· Graduation in Accounting, Finance, or HR
· 3-6 years in business operations and data analysis
· Proficiency in BI, Database and Cloud platforms
· Excellent attention and client engagement skills
· Strong written and verbal communication skills

Shift timings: 8.00 AM to 5.00 PM IST Analytics & Insights CoE
The “Analytics & Insights CoE” team in Hyderabad supports Deloitte in the AP Region with financial reporting, data quality, analytics, PMO, market research, and more. We also manage opportunities pipeline and pursuit management. This team oversees consulting priorities, providing comprehensive information on pipelines and pursuits for efficient management of key opportunities in the ASIA PACIFIC region.
Additionally, we have other CoEs offering finance system support, IT services, business intelligence, risk management, and client contract management.
