Position Overview:
We are seeking an accomplished Data Modeler with over five years of professional experience to join our dynamic analytics and data engineering team. This role is instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimising data models that underpin mission-critical business solutions. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional technical acumen, a deep understanding of data architecture principles, and a proven track record in complex data environments.
Work Location: Hyderabad
Shift Timings: 06.30 AM to 03.30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise data warehouse solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and IT stakeholders to gather and translate data requirements into robust data models.
- Lead data modelling initiatives for data warehouse, data lake, and master data management (MDM) projects.
- Optimise and document data models, ensuring scalability, performance, and data integrity.
- Develop and enforce data modelling standards, guidelines, and procedures.
- Perform data profiling, analysis, and validation to ensure high quality and consistency of data assets.
- Provide expert guidance on data normalisation, denormalization, and complex data relationships.
- Support data migration, integration, and transformation activities across multiple platforms and technologies.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in data modelling, database technologies, and analytics.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience in data modelling within large-scale, enterprise environments.
- Advanced proficiency in data modelling tools such as ER/Studio, Erwin, or Power Designer.
- Deep understanding of relational and dimensional modelling, as well as NoSQL and big data architectures.
- Proven experience with data warehouse, data lake, and MDM implementations.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex data sets, identify data quality issues, and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Additional Skills:
- Industry certifications in data modelling, data management, or relevant technologies (e.g., CDMP, DAMA).
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Databricks, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Google BigQuery).
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps practices for data engineering.
- Exposure to data governance and data privacy frameworks.
- Comfortable using AI/GitHub Copilot for efficient project delivery.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
