Position Summary

Senior Analyst – Data Engineer – Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with a strong background in Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Data Build Tools (DBT), and POSTMAN. The ideal candidate will have over four years of experience in data engineering and a good understanding of Python. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing data pipelines and workflows to support our data-driven initiatives.

Work you’ll do.

As a part this team, your Key Responsibilities will be:

  • Develop and Maintain Data Pipelines: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
  • Data Transformation and Modeling: Utilize Data Build Tools (DBT) to transform raw data into meaningful insights.
  • API Testing and Integration: Use POSTMAN for testing and integrating APIs to ensure seamless data flow across systems.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize data workflows for performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Monitoring: Monitor, Troubleshoot and notify stakeholders and implement Hotfixes.
  • Collaboration: You will be closely working with DBA, DevOps and Infra team for deployment and to provide necessary solutions.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data processes, workflows, and system architecture and KBAs for L3 team.

Work Location: Hyderabad

Shift Timings: 06.30 AM to 03.30 PM

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in data engineering roles with bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
    • Strong experience with Data Build Tools (DBT).
    • Hands-on experience with POSTMAN for API testing and integration.
    • Experience with version control systems such as Git or TFS.
  • Additional Skills:
    • Good understanding of Python for data manipulation and scripting.
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms and data storage solutions.
    • Writing complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers in SQL is added advantage.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

** Certifications in Azure fundamentals and data science are a plus.
