Role Responsibilities:
The Communications Manager plays a pivotal role in developing and implementing internal communication strategies to ensure consistent messaging across all levels. This role involves advising senior leaders in the US and USI on aligning communication with business objectives and crafting high-quality deliverables such as executive presentations, emails, and multimedia content.
The manager will leverage the latest digital tools to enhance message distribution and employee engagement, adhere to brand standards, and manage metrics to report to stakeholders. Additionally, the role includes designing employee engagement initiatives and collaborating across teams to foster a cohesive communication strategy. This position requires strong advisory, project management, and communication skills to effectively support and influence the organization's internal communication framework.
Strategic Communication Development
• Internal Communication Strategies: Develop comprehensive strategies that ensure consistent messaging across the organization.
• Executive Communication: Collaborate with senior leaders to create communications that reflect their priorities, including executive presentations, leadership talking points, and web content.
Content Creation and Management
High-Quality Deliverables: Plan, research, and produce engaging communication materials such as:
o Executive presentations
o Leadership talking points
o Videos and podcasts
o Emails
o Newsletter articles
o Infographics and compelling images (with support from Creative Services)
o Web content
o Brand Consistency: Ensure all communications adhere to Deloitte brand standards and reflect the diverse needs of internal audiences.
Digital Engagement and Technology Utilization
• Digital Tools: Leverage the latest digital tools and platforms to ensure effective distribution and reception of messages.
• Innovative Technologies: Stay updated on new communication technologies and platforms that could enhance employee connectivity and engagement.
Employee Engagement and Culture Enhancement
• Engagement Initiatives: Design and execute initiatives to boost employee morale and increase job satisfaction, including recognition programs and team-building activities.
• Cultural Advocacy: Support internal programs, projects, and initiatives to execute awareness and collaboration campaigns.
Analytics and Reporting
Metrics Management: Manage metrics and analytics across communication channels and provide periodic reports to stakeholders.
Stakeholder Management and Collaboration
• Cross-Collaboration: Manage multiple stakeholders and collaborate across teams/business units to enhance communication practices and align with cohesive communication objectives.
• Global Organization Knowledge: Learn and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the DTTL/Deloitte global organization.
This role is essential for maintaining a unified voice across the company and ensuring that all employees, regardless of their location, are engaged and informed about the company’s goals and initiatives.

Qualifications
Required Education, Qualifications, and Experience:
Required:
• Masters/doctoral degree in communications, English, public relations, marketing, journalism, or a related field (or equivalent)
• 8+ years’ experience in executive communications, internal communications, corporate communications, marketing, or related field
• Effective writing and editing skills, with a proven track record across a variety of audience groups and channels
• Proven history within the Deloitte network OR successful experience working in a comparable global organization required
• Advanced skills in the latest communications technology, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Preferred:
• Ability to tell a clear and compelling story around business priorities, programs, and initiatives; strong storyboarding skills preferred
• Experience with internal communications with demonstrable results in driving awareness and building engagement in a dispersed workforce
• Global mindset and experience working as part of a global community
• Avid multi-tasker with an ability to manage multiple competing priorities with enthusiasm and energy; proactive worker who can fit successfully into a virtual, dispersed team and has great upward management skills
• Creative problem-solver; sees the value in active brainstorming and collaborative innovation
• Strong relationship building/relationship management skills with all levels
