Assistant manager – Network Specialist - Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited

In support of our global organization, we have a new opening for TOC specialist. The primary objective of this role will be to delivering world-class operations support for the globally shared enterprise infrastructure services both on-premises and cloud hosted. The engineer will participate in projects activities, fulfill requests for service through a ticket management system, and use advanced skills to troubleshoot problems with the overall service. Additional responsibilities include participating in the On-Call rotation and learning new skills to support various internal and cyber initiatives. This individual also performs research to troubleshoot and resolve the issue or, depending upon complexity, escalates the issue to higher-level systems administrators and other SME teams. The TOC specialist is responsible for researching and documenting various mitigation strategies and must maintain a current and thorough knowledge of customer technologies and their significance to customer operations.
Work you’ll do
This individual must be able to prioritize remediation of issues in a 24 x 7 environment with critical uptime requirements. The TOC specialist may also perform basic system administration tasks such as network/system troubleshooting and executing various scripts.
Responsibilities
- Experience in the IT field
- Strong experience with network technologies including Cisco, Palo Alto, Checkpoint etc.
- Relevant experience with Cloud technologies not limited to Microsoft (Azure), AWS (Amazon Web Services) etc.
- Fluent in ITIL methodology
- Working knowledge of at least one of the following scripting languages: PowerShell, Python
- Working knowledge of ServiceNow or similar service management platform
- Familiarity with control frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC2, and HIPAA, and their impact on technology and process preferred
- Working knowledge of network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Appneta, NetBrain, etc.
- Experience with Dynamic Routing protocol's such as OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, and BGP
- Experience with switching protocols such as RSTP, VPC, VLAN
- Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP, IPsec, HSRP, IPSLA and SNMP protocols
- Experience with network Monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, NetQoS Performance Center (NPC), Cisco Prime Infrastructure
- Experience with network analytical tools will be advantage, such as Thousand Eyes, NetBrain, Cisco DNA Center, HP Network Automation (HPNA), Appneta
- Working knowledge of best practices for IT operations, business continuity, and disaster recovery in an always-on, always-available service model
- Strong Relevant Experience with Cisco Data Center products will be advantage such as, (Nexus 9000, Nexus 3000, Nexus 7000/5000, Cisco ACI)
- Advanced knowledge on Cisco and Meraki wireless controllers
- Strong Relevant Experience with Palo Alto and checkpoint firewalls will be advantage
- Troubleshooting issues and maintaining optimum network uptime
- Maintain Network Documentation
- Respond to Tie 1, 2 support demands relative to complex network topologies and protocols
- Review network performance metrics and statistics to identify potential future failures (proactive approach)
- Deliver upskill training across TOC team within Network Ops area of expertise
- Represent Deloitte in Vendor Service Quality Reviews (SQR) and provide adequate feedback
- Work closely with managers and operations analysts to ensure the success of daily operations
- Interface with Subject Matter Expert (SME) teams in planning, scheduling, and implementing changes
- Contribute to knowledge base and KEDB's to facilitate resolution and gain FCR within TOC

The Technology Operations Center optimizes business outcomes by providing the best, first line of defense, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. These outcomes equate to maximized service availability and reliability. TOC is the nerve center comprised of, smart people with the right competencies and empowerment to act fast and avert problems before they impact the business.

Qualifications
· Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology
· 6+ years’ experience in a similar role and Enterprise organization

· A strong track record of delivering continual service improvement.
· Be able to communicate effectively, technical issues with technical and non-technical audience.

· Ability to work both independently and within a team
· Flexible, calm, and professional demeanor in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
· Demonstrate ability to collaborate with team members that encourages shared ideas to resolve complex problems
· Highly Motivated, self-starter who has a very strong desire to learn.
· Strong ITIL V3 knowledge (Minimum ITIL foundation certification preferred)
· A solid understanding of the ITIL and Agile framework
· Experience conducting process analysis and documenting process improvement initiatives.
