 Assistant Manager – GCP Cloud Engineer - Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited 

Position Overview 
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Assistant Manager – GCP Cloud Engineer (Level 4) to join our global DCS team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining resilient, highly available, and scalable GCP (Google Cloud Platform) native platforms and solutions, while ensuring best practices in cloud security, automation, and cost optimization. 

Work You’ll Do 
As an Assistant Manager – GCP you will: 
• Design, build, and maintain GCP-based cloud solutions with a focus on high availability, scalability, and security. 
• Leverage deep expertise in GCP services such as Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Pub/Sub and VPC networking. 
• Develop and maintain cloud-native applications using programming languages such as Python leveraging GCP APIs and SDKs. 
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and cloud build. 
• Apply advanced knowledge of GCP IaaS and PaaS services and ensure optimal configuration and performance. 
• Utilize GCP monitoring and logging tools (e.g. Monitoring, Cloud Logging) for infrastructure and application monitoring across production and non-production environments. 
• Develop and automate CI/CD pipelines using Google Cloud Build, and Git, GitHub and integrate with GCP DevOps best practices. 
• Ensure robust Identity and Access Management (IAM) and security practices across GCP resources, including the use of service accounts, roles, and policies. 
• Apply knowledge of hybrid and multi-cloud design, high availability, and disaster recovery concepts. 
• Analyze and resolve complex infrastructure resource and application deployment issues. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet business and technical requirements. 
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, understand customer needs, and manage vendor relationships. 

Location: Hyderabad 
Work Shift Timings: 11AM to 8PM and 2PM to 11PM 
Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience and accomplishments. 
• 5-7 years of experience in the IT field, with a focus on building resilient, highly available, and scalable cloud-native platforms and solutions. 
• Extensive hands-on experience with a broad range of GCP services, including Compute Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, and more. 
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Cloud Build. 
• Advanced knowledge of GCP IaaS and PaaS services. 
• Experience with GCP monitoring and logging tools (Cloud Monitoring & Cloud Logging). 
• Strong understanding of GCP platform, services, and IAM (Identity and Access Management). 
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation using Python & FastAPI. 
• Strong knowledge of DevOps orchestration, configuration, and continuous integration management technologies. 
• Understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud design, high availability, and disaster recovery concepts. 
• Excellent problem-solving skills for complex infrastructure and application deployment issues. 
• Strong communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
