Assistant Manager – Cloud Automation Engineer - Deloitte Support Services India Private Limited
The primary objective of this position is to provide automation and analysis support for Deloitte Technology’s Infrastructure Services. The position works closely with other Deloitte groups and vendors to provide holistic expertise of the relevant automation to the customer.
The Cloud Automation Engineer role requires skills that enable the individual to deliver a high level of service and to meet the expectation from the business of a highly available agile infrastructure. Expert experience with DevOps, data pipelines, automating processes, cloud infrastructure and project coordination are required. Expertise of automation best practices, using python to solve complex problems, git repositories, and automation solution implementation in production environments are needed. Knowledge of data center technologies, network communications and security are desired, along with an in-depth understanding of enterprise IT and its best practices.
The chosen candidate will support senior management and gain valuable exposure to Deloitte and its member firms around the world.
Key Responsibilities:
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Create and improve API integration automation using Python and/or other coding languages (e.g. C, C++, Java, and PowerShell)
- Cloud Architecture, Cloud Technologies, and Cloud Services administration and development
- Automation of data pipelines for ETL purposes
- Development in Splunk of custom addons
- Develop and implement monitoring solutions to track the performance of AI models in real-time. Monitor key metrics, identify anomalies, and collaborate with the AI Ops team to address performance issues.
- Develop Python automation codebase for internal use
- Build, maintain, and improve new and existing custom applications based on best practices
- Development, maintenance, and administration of Cloud Platform
- Create and maintain High Availability AIOps Integrations across infrastructure
- Build, Deploy, and maintain Automation in orchestration tooling such as ServiceNow Event Management.
- Meet with customers to collect requirements on new projects
- Independent ownership of automation projects from requirements to delivery
- Collaborate with customers and peers in different time zone and countries
Additional responsibilities regardless of team include:
- Monitor the ServiceNow ticketing system for effective use
- Responsible for awareness and compliance to policy and guidelines of the information security management system (ISMS)
- Adhere to established incident management service level objectives

- Participation in global working groups responsible for the development of infrastructure services
Knowledge Sharing / Documentation
- Excellent documentation and organization skills for knowledge management

Qualifications
Recommended Education/Other:
- Prefer Bachelor’s Degree/College Diploma in Computer Science, Networking, Management of Information Systems, or equivalent industry experience
Years of Experience*: 6-9 years professional experience, with accomplishments in education desire
Technical Skills
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems using Python and other Programming languages
- Ability to implement standards across a large code base
- Expertise in Cloud Platform Administration and Delivery
- Significant Azure Cloud-Native Service experience required
- Knowledge of programming language(s) including Python, and/or PowerShell
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (Agile)
- Knowledge of git and distributed version control systems
- Knowledge of SQL and Relational Databases (NoSQL is a plus)
- Knowledge of documentation practices for automation pipelines (CI/CD)
- Knowledge of ETL in Python
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs
- Knowledge of AI and Agentic AI
· Comfortable with common command line operations and file system manipulation
- Strong knowledge of using Python for automation in production environments
- Strong understanding of infrastructure and networking technologies
- Ability to use reporting tools to collect data and to provide output with interpretation
- Communicates effectively with stakeholders and team members regarding technical concepts
Other Qualifications
- Professional qualifications are preferred
- ServiceNow CSA Certification Preferred
- Azure Cloud certifications a plus
- ITIL or related Service Management qualifications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI and SQL Server
