Work you’ll do
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Cloud Security Engineer to play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our enterprise-level, application-focused microsegmentation service for the Deloitte US Member Firm. In this position, you will be instrumental in supporting the onboarding of new applications, facilitating effective communication across multiple technical teams, and ensuring timely responses to operational needs. Your responsibilities will also include troubleshooting technical challenges and refining microsegmentation security policies. By leveraging your expertise and collaborative mindset, you will help drive innovation and strengthen our security posture.
- Collaborate with application, Cyber Security and infrastructure teams to onboard new applications into the microsegmentation service
- Monitor microsegmentation mailbox and ServiceNOW queue to promptly respond to requests and incidents
- Diagnose and resolve microsegmentation related issues
- Oversee, evaluate and execute changes to microsegmentation security policies
- Perform research and analysis to help identify communication flows found in application traffic
- Serve as a subject matter expert, advising on microsegmentation best practices and recommending security policy approvals aligned with risk and business objectives
- Draft, update, and maintain comprehensive process and procedure documents
- Maintain a customer service mindset to foster collaboration and ensure positive interactions with stakeholders, team members, and end-users
- Contribute creative ideas to advance microsegmentation capabilities and improve operational efficiency

Cyber Security
Cyber Security vigilantly protects Deloitte and client data. The team leads a strategic cyber risk program that adapts to a rapidly changing threat landscape, changes in business strategies, risks, and vulnerabilities. Using situational awareness, threat intelligence, and building a security culture across the organization, the team helps to protect the Deloitte brand.

Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
· 6-8 years of experience in Cyber Security, Network operations, or related field
· Understanding of essential networking concepts, including protocols and firewall operations
· Strong customer service skills with a desire to learn and grow in the Cyber Security field
· Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting or operating a microsegmentation or network security solutions
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP, or AWS
- Exposure with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
- Familiarity with Zero Trust security principles and framework
- Experience with Windows server and Linux operating systems
- Experience troubleshooting network issues
- Coding or scripting experience beyond basic level (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CCNA, GCLC) are a plus
