Position Summary
Level: Consultant
As a Consultant, you will individually deliver high-quality work within agreed timelines. Depending on the project, you may mentor or guide junior team members and coordinate with onsite/offshore teams to understand functional requirements.
Work You’ll Do
- As a Sales Excellence practitioner, you will work with CXOs and Sales Leaders to shape the future sales strategy and drive profitable growth. Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Assessing clients’ sales organizations and identifying improvement opportunities
- Redefining or evaluating sales capabilities, such as sales planning, quota and territory planning, and salesforce incentive structures
- Improving operational efficiency through process redesign and actionable, data-driven insights
- Enabling omni-channel sales strategies through integrated business and technical solutions
- Defining and prioritizing initiatives across people, process, and technology, including developing feasibility models and business cases
- You will also support commercial growth by contributing to practice development, serving as a key content lead for proposals and business development efforts within the Sales Excellence space.
- Additionally, you will help build Sales Excellence expertise within Deloitte by creating new solutions, publishing thought leadership, and developing repeatable toolkits for project teams.

The Customer Strategy & Design (CS&D) team is a key part of Deloitte’s Customer portfolio. We help organizations reimagine customer engagement, drive growth, and deliver enhanced experiences across the customer lifecycle. Our team operates at the intersection of strategy, design, and digital transformation, and includes strategists, designers, analysts, and industry experts.
We partner with C-level leaders to solve complex challenges, such as launching new ventures and redefining go-to-market strategies. Our solutions are designed to deliver measurable impact and meaningful customer outcomes from insight to execution.
Qualifications
Must-Have Skills / Experience / Certifications
- 2–4 years’ relevant experience, ideally in consulting or with a focus on sales transformation
- Deep expertise in sales and strong industry knowledge
- Professional experience: Strategy consulting (including Big 4) and experience in Sales Excellence or customer experience
- Industry experience: Insurance, Telecommunications, Media & Technology, Banking preferred. Experience with technology adoption and its impact on operating models is a plus
- Core consulting skills: Project management, stakeholder coordination, reporting, contributing to business unit activities
- Analytical skills: Delivery of actionable, data-driven insights, quantitative analysis, and synthesizing research
- Sales Excellence skills: Post-master’s experience in B2B or B2C sales, sales planning, quota/territory planning, salesforce incentive structures
Good-to-Have Skills / Experience / Certifications
- Experience working in global environments, particularly the US
- Experience liaising with international stakeholders
Education
- MBA from a premier school in India or abroad
