Position Summary 

Level: Consultant 

As an experienced Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines. Need-basis you will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members/liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand the functional requirements.   

Work you’ll do

We’re seeking a highly motivated and experienced Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team within Deloitte’s

Application Modernization practice. This role will be instrumental in developing and maintaining the in-house software products that power our modernization efforts. You’ll work on challenging projects, combining front-end and back-end development to deliver innovative solutions that directly impact our clients’ modernization journeys.

  • Develop and Maintain Software Products: Design, develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable software products used by our internal teams and clients.
  • Full-Stack Development: Work across the entire stack – from front-end user interfaces to back-end APIs and
  • database interactions.
  • Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with our internal consultants, architects, and analysts to
  • understand their needs and deliver solutions that address their challenges.
  • Contribute to Product Roadmap: Provide technical input and feedback to inform the product roadmap and strategy.
  • Stay Current with Technology: Keep abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in full-stack development.
  • Code Reviews & Mentorship: Participate in code reviews and potentially mentor junior developers.
  • Troubleshooting & Debugging: Effectively identify and resolve technical issues.

Qualifications:

Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

  • Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack development.
  • Programming Languages: Proficient in at least one modern language like JavaScript (React, Angular, or Vue.js),
  • Python, Java, Kotlin
  • Databases: Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and potentially NoSQL databases.
  • AI: Ability to work with Ai coding agents like co-pilot etc, and should be capable of finding AI use cases which can be developed. (Understanding the AI systems and frameworks like Langchain will be a plus)
  • Cloud Technologies: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is highly desirable.
  • API Development: Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
  • Version Control: Expertise with Git and GitHub.
  • Agile Development: Experience working in an Agile development environment (Scrum or Kanban).
  • Understanding of Modern Architectures: Familiarity with microservices, cloud-native architectures, and DevOps
  • principles.


Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Contributions to open-source projects.
  • Familiarity with mainframe technologies (COBOL, JCL) – a plus!

Education:  

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (3 Year) within a technical field/ Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
