Position Summary
RTR Manager/ Executive Manager
The Manager will have a pivotal role in guaranteeing precise financial reporting and analysis activities. This role involves close collaboration with various departments to collect crucial financial data.
This role is part of the Deloitte’s Controllership, this practice provides operate-related support to the clients across industries. By continuously broadening our capabilities we are uniquely positioned to use our specialized skills to leverage activities to the appropriate level and implement best practices.
Work you will do:
- Demonstrate in-depth understanding and knowledge of accounting principles, rules, policies, procedures or technology to ensure appropriate accounting and reporting.
- Overseeing the financial close process, including the evaluation and interpretation of financial statements and reports.
- Drive operational efficiencies in the financial close and reporting process through providing efficient, sustainable, and technology-enabled solutions aligned with accounting and financial reporting requirements.
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for automation and process improvement within the various accounting processes.
- Must possess a solid understanding of the controls used in various end-to-end record to report processes.
- Able to handle client engagement staffing levels, develop employees, manage performance issues and/or gaps, succession planning and employee retention.
- Possessing the ability to independently conduct research on complex accounting issues, along with the aptitude to guide and propose potential solutions or corrective actions to the team.
- Maintaining constant communication with client to build strong relationships, which are crucial for the smooth delivery of services.
- Supervise the end-to-end record to report process including period end accounting and areas like fixed asset, retail audit, retail inventory, intercompany, cost allocations, cost accounting and reporting as per US-GAAP.
- Possessing the capability to spearhead the entire transition process, documenting each step as a run book using tools like Visio and SAP Signavio. In addition, should have the proficiency to lead the transition of financial operations from an external vendor.
Qualifications:
- 14+ years of post-qualification experience with minimum 3-4 years of experience in PMO role.
- Excellent Working knowledge in MS office tools
- Knowledge of US-GAAP and financial closing process.
- Should be proactive and possess good oral and written communication skills.
- Have attention to detail along with good analytical skills.
- Ability to ensure a high level of overall quality and accuracy.
- Ability to work well & multi-task in a fast paced, time sensitive environment.
- Good knowledge on various packages such as Oracle, SAP, Blackline, Acadia 6.5, Infor, Coupa, Cognos etc.
Education
Masters in accounting /Chartered Accountant (CPA equivalent)/Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelors Degree.

Shift/Work Timings
- The role requires flexibility to work in various shift timings, including night shifts, as per business needs.
- You will be expected to work from the office five days a week.
