Position Summary

Level: Consultant or equivalent

As an experienced Consultant at Deloitte Consulting Services, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines. Need-basis you will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members/liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand the functional requirements.

Work you’ll do:

We are seeking an experienced Order Management System (OMS) Consultant/Senior Consultant to drive OMS implementation engagements from discovery through go-live. You will partner with business and IT stakeholders to elicit and document requirements, translate them into functional specifications and solution designs, and configure OMS capabilities to enable end-to-end order lifecycle execution. This includes designing future-state processes, defining orchestration and exception flows, and ensuring the solution aligns to business outcomes, operational needs, and scalability expectations.

The Enterprise Performance team leverages deep industry knowledge, strong analytical skills, and practical approaches to address clients’ toughest business challenges. Our professionals as part of the Supply Chain Network Operations (SCNO) service line within Enterprise Performance focus on helping organizations achieve sustainable competitive advantage throughout their operations, spanning product development, planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and distribution. We excel at translating strategic objectives into tangible, measurable outcomes at the operational level. By aligning high-level goals with frontline execution, we ensure our clients realize real value and improved performance across every stage of their supply chain and operations.

Qualifications

Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

overall experience with strong hands-on delivery in any OMS Platform (end-to-end implementation and/or enhancement programs).
Deep knowledge of the end-to-end order lifecycle: capture, promising, sourcing/allocation, orchestration, fulfillment, returns, and exception handling.
OMS Configuration experience: APIs/services, events, rules/workflows, schedulers/batch/agents, security/roles, and deployment/release practices across environments.
Exposure to backend engineering skills (Java/J2EE and/or comparable languages such as C#/.NET/Node) with ability to produce maintainable, testable code.
Integration expertise with REST, SOAP, XML, JSON, and exposure to asynchronous or event-driven patterns (queues/streams) and middleware/iPaaS concepts.
Strong SQL skills and experience with DB2 or Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL/Cassandra/ MongoDB (queries, indexes, basic performance considerations).
Experience working in Linux/Unix environments and Git/version control; familiarity with CI/CD fundamentals.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to convert requirements into clear technical deliverables
Experience with observability and production support practices (log/trace analysis, monitoring, incident/problem management, RCA).

Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

Experience with Inventory Visibility / Global Inventory Visibility and centralized Order Hub concepts.
Front-end technologies (e.g., Angular/React or similar) and experience integrating UI layers with OMS, back-end services & APIs.
Observability tooling and operational readiness: centralized logging (e.g., ELK or equivalent), dashboards/alerts, proactive monitoring, and operational reporting.
Performance tuning for high-volume retail OMS (batch/agent tuning, throughput optimization).
Headless commerce and omnichannel patterns: BOSDC, BOPIS, BORIS, ship-from-store, curbside, marketplace fulfillment, endless aisle, complex returns & exchanges

Education:

BE/B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Tech degree or equivalent from accredited university

Location:

Bengaluru/Hyderabad/Pune/Chennai

Shift Timings:

11 AM to 8 PM or 2 PM to 11 PM IST as per business requirements
