Position Summary
Level: Specialist Senior
As a Specialist Senior(App Architecture), you will support and lead defined workstreams to design and deliver modern, scalable, secure applications for Fortune 1000 clients. Your work may include new application builds, application modernization, cloud/hybrid adoption, platform engineering, and multi-region deployments. You’ll contribute to target-state architecture, drive engineering quality within your scope, and deliver design inputs and POCs to enable operational readiness and continuous optimization.
Work you’ll do:
Lead architectural discussions with business and functional analysts to understand requirements and assess integration impacts on the overall business and technical architecture. Prepare and own the technical architecture and design, clarify requirements, and resolve ambiguities from an architectural perspective. Develop solutions that align with established architectural designs, integration standards, and quality processes. Create, enforce, and continuously improve technical design and development guides, templates, and architectural standards. Facilitate ARB meetings, manage architectural deliverables, and prepare weekly status reports for leadership review. Conduct detailed architectural reviews of deliverables and provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members. Collaborate with onsite clients, coordinators, analysts, and cross-functional teams to ensure architectural alignment. Design templates, frameworks, or scripts to automate and standardize routine development or operational tasks, supporting architectural consistency and efficiency.
Technical Proficiencies
Expertise in .NET:
- Strong proficiency in .NET, with a focus on ASP.NET Core for building web APIs and services
- Extensive experience in developing scalable, high-performance enterprise applications using .NET
Cloud Computing (AWS/Azure/GCP):
- Hands-on experience designing and deploying solutions on one or more hyperscalers:
- AWS: EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudFormation
- Azure: App Service, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Blob Storage, Azure Functions, API Management, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Azure Resource Manager (ARM)
- GCP: Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Firestore, Deployment Manager/Terraform
- Proficiency in designing and deploying microservices architectures on cloud platforms
Microservices Architecture:
- Strong expertise in building and managing microservices using ASP.NET Core, with resilience libraries like Polly, and developing REST and GraphQL APIs
- Experience with inter-service communication using Eventgrid,gRPC or Kafka
Performance Optimization:
- Proven experience in profiling, monitoring, and optimizing applications for performance using tools like dotnet-trace, dotnet-counters, and Visual Studio's Diagnostic Tools
- Expertise in .NET runtime (CLR) performance tuning, memory management (garbage collection), and SQL query optimization
DevOps Practices and CI/CD:
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and methodologies, including:
- CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure Pipelines, AWS CodePipeline, GCP Cloud Build
- Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS, AKS)
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible
- Monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk
Database and Data Storage:
- Strong experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server)
- Experience with NoSQL and caching technologies and/or hyperscaler-native options
Code Reviews and Best Practices:
- Expertise in conducting thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to SOLID principles, design patterns, and industry-standard best practices
- Proficiency in writing clean, modular, and maintainable code using tools like SonarQube or PMD for static code analysis
API Management and Security:
- Experience in designing and managing APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, or API Gateway
- Knowledge of authentication/authorization protocols like OAuth2, JWT, and SAML
System Architecture and Design:
- Experience producing architecture/design artifacts (diagrams, decision logs) using tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, or ArchiMate
- Strong experience in architecting scalable, distributed systems using microservices, event-driven architectures, and domain-driven design (DDD)

Qualifications
Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications
- 7 - 12 years of industry experience, with at least 6+ years in a technical architect role designing applications and hosting solutions on cloud platforms
- At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud native architecture design, implementation of distributed, fault-tolerant enterprise applications for cloud
- Should have knowledge to understand and create Target State Solutions
- Should be able to create Low level designs for Engineering teams For Ex: Flow charts, Sequence diagrams, class diagrams
- Should have knowledge of reusable components such as Middleware and Action Filters, using an ORM like Entity Framework Core (EF Core), and implementing robust Logging and Monitoring
- Should have Hands-On experience on
- ASP.NET Core Web API development, including implementing authentication and authorization processes (e.g., using ASP.NET Core Identity, JWTs)
- Project and package management using NuGet and the .NET CLI
- Using Entity Framework Core (EF Core), including database connection pool configuration
- Event-Driven Implementation: Integrating with Kafka using .NET client libraries
- Should define Interfaces and re-usable components to avoid duplicate effort - For Ex: Circuit breaker, Retry, Error Handling
- Experience in application migration and modernization of legacy applications to cloud platforms.
- Deep expertise in architecting and designing end-to-end cloud solutions, recommending architecture patterns aligned to business needs
- Experience designing approach and leading migrations from on‑premises to cloud, leveraging database migration services and application migration/assessment tooling (e.g., discovery, wave planning, cutover, validation)
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, and managed/container platforms (e.g., cloud-managed Kubernetes services and/or OpenShift)
- Working knowledge of cloud-native CI/CD and developer platforms (source control, build, artifact repositories, pipeline orchestration), distributed tracing/observability, and security services
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, with experience in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions
- Strong understanding of the cloud native development practices and architectural patterns
- Experience in leading and managing teams within specialist areas from project planning to execution
Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- Awareness of industry trends, challenges, technology adoption levels and solution landscape
- Strong understanding of BigData architecture, design and implementation creating cloud architecture leveraging PaaS
- Strong understanding of the cloud native development practices and architectural patterns
- Understanding of data services and when to use each
- Understanding of the impact of technology on client business processes and plan the risk mitigation steps
- Understanding of backup, replication, disaster recovery and high availability technologies
- Understanding on network architectures including integration of software components such as web / application servers, middleware, RDBMS, development environments, operational components and data center operations
- Understanding of cloud security and regulatory policies and governance mechanisms
- Experience in cloud infrastructure design of data, storage and networking infrastructure, addressing disaster recovery and business continuity planning requirements
- Certification from any cloud service provider (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- AI-related awareness: demonstrated AI-first delivery mindset, including familiarity with Generative AI (GenAI) concepts, agentic workflows/automation, and practical considerations (data privacy, security, model risk) when incorporating AI capabilities into enterprise applications
- BE/B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university
