Position Summary
Level: Specialist Master
As an AWS Cloud Solution Architect, you will lead technical teams to deliver cutting edge solutions on cloud platforms for some of our Fortune 1000 clients. You will have the opportunity to contribute to work that may involve building new cloud solutions, migrating an application to co-exist in the hybrid cloud, deploying a global cloud application across multiple countries or providing design guidance /POC for our managed services team for continuous optimization. Work you’ll do:
AWS Cloud Solution Architect at Deloitte will be responsible for designing, developing and cloud software applications for enterprise clients, from the technological evaluation stage through final production delivery and installation on AWS cloud platform. You need to have a strong understanding of the AWS framework, hands-on experience designing distributed systems and applications on the AWS Cloud, and experience with cloud computing. You should also have a solid understanding of cloud solutions and cloud computing architecture, and the ability to translate business requirements into technical goals. You will further support proposal development and other pursuit activities. Some of the key areas where cloud solution architect will be involved are mentioned below
Primary Roles and Responsibilities
Expertise in J2EE and Spring Boot:
- Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE frameworks, with a focus on Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Cloud.
- Extensive experience in developing scalable, high-performance enterprise applications using J2EE.
- Cloud Computing (AWS/Azure):
- Deep understanding and hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudFormation) or Azure (App Services, Kubernetes Service, Event Hubs, Cosmos DB, Azure Functions).
- Proficiency in designing and deploying microservices architectures on cloud platforms.
Microservices Architecture:
- Strong expertise in building and managing microservices using Spring Boot, Spring Cloud Netflix (Eureka, Hystrix, Zuul, Ribbon), and REST/GraphQL APIs.
- Experience with inter-service communication using gRPC or Kafka.
Performance Optimization:
- Proven experience in profiling, monitoring, and optimizing applications for performance using tools like JMeter, Java Flight Recorder.
- Expertise in JVM tuning, memory management, and SQL query optimization.
DevOps Practices and CI/CD:
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and methodologies, including:
- CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline.
- Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS, AKS).
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible.
- Monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk.
Database and Data Storage:
- Expertise in relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and SQL Server.
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, DynamoDB, or Cosmos DB.
Code Reviews and Best Practices:
- Expertise in conducting thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to SOLID principles, design patterns, and industry-standard best practices
- Proficiency in writing clean, modular, and maintainable code using tools like SonarQube or PMD for static code analysis.
API Management and Security:
- Experience in designing and managing APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, or API Gateway.
- Knowledge of authentication/authorization protocols like OAuth2, JWT, and SAML.
System Architecture and Design:
- Strong experience in architecting scalable, distributed systems using microservices, event-driven architectures, and domain-driven design (DDD).
- Proficiency in creating technical design documents and architectural diagrams using tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or Archimate.
Leadership and Communication:
- Provide proof of concepts, analysis of alternatives, and brief their results to client stakeholders.
- Responsible for cloud native architecture design, implementation of distributed, fault-tolerant enterprise applications for cloud
- Build meaningful relationship with clients.
- Publish whitepapers / point of views and act as an evangelist to the Deloitte brand.
- Work both independently or in a team-oriented, collaborative environment based on the project requirements
- Contributes significantly towards leading initiatives for development and maintenance of tools, methods, and offerings in the area of specialization
- Identifies and builds productivity and efficiency drivers which substantially influence during sales pitch and become key criteria for winning new projects in the specialty area

Qualifications
Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- 12 - 18 years of industry experience, with at least 8+ years in a technical architect role designing applications and hosting solutions as public/private cloud SaaS PaaS platforms.
- At least 10+ years of hands-on experience in cloud native architecture design, implementation of distributed, fault-tolerant enterprise applications for cloud.
- Should have knowledge to understand and create the Target State Solutions.
- Should be able to create Low level designs for Engineering teams For Ex: Flow charts, Sequence diagrams, class diagrams.
- Should have knowledge of reusable components- Filters, JPA, Logging and Monitoring.
- Should have Hands-On experience on
- Spring web-Java API development along with certification process
- Maven build Tools
- Spring JPA, connection pool configuration
- Event Driven Implementation: Kafka connector library Integration with Java.
- Should have good knowledge of SOLID principles and Java Design Patterns.
- Should define Interfaces and re-usable components to avoid duplicate effort - For Ex: Circuit breaker, Retry, Error Handling.
- Experience in application migration and modernization of legacy applications to AWS cloud platforms.
- Familiarity of principles summarized in the AWS Cloud Adoption and Well-Architected Frameworks
- Deep expertise of architecting and designing end-to-end AWS solutions architecture, recommending best cloud architecture patterns suiting the business problems, (Integrating services like: AWS API Gateway, SQS, SNS, Step Function, Amazon MQ, Lambda, AWS S3 and storage classes, etc.)
- Working experience of designing approach and migrating solution from on-prem using AWS Database Migration, Migration Hub, Application Migration Service, etc.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, EKS or OpenShift container platforms
- Working knowledge of AWS CodePipeline, CodeCommit, CodeBuild, CodeArtifact, AWS X-Ray, IAM Policies, KMS, GuardDuty, etc.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture, design and implementation creating cloud architecture leveraging PaaS and IaaS.
- Strong understanding of the cloud native development practices and architectural patterns
- Experience in leading and managing teams within specialist areas from project planning to execution
Education:
· BE/B.Tech/M.C.A./M.Sc (CS) degree or equivalent from accredited university
