Position Summary
Level: Consultant or equivalent
As an experienced Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines. Need-basis you will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members/liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand the functional requirements.
Work you’ll do:
Apply industry knowledge to requirements gathering and analysis, ensuring alignment with sector needs. Demonstrate expertise across the entire software development lifecycle, from design and coding to deployment and defect resolution, collaborating with stakeholders for effective delivery. Conduct peer and team reviews to maintain quality standards. Actively engage in Agile practices, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and effort estimation. Build and share business process knowledge, supporting project knowledge management and team training. Proactively recommend process improvements, track efficiency gains, and contribute to automation and innovation, all aimed at enhancing project outcomes and delivering greater value to clients.

Qualifications
Must Have Skills[AG1] /Project Experience/Certifications:
o 4 – 7 years of strong hands-on experience in Python (3.11+) with solid grounding in Object-oriented design principles and clean coding practices including identifying design flaws in existing codebases and refactoring towards maintainable designs
o Well versed with core Python concepts including Exception Handling, Data Structures (lists, sets, dictionaries, tuples), Iterators & Generators, Concurrency (threads, multiprocessing, asyncio)
o Ability to design and implement efficient, secure, and maintainable backend code, evaluate multiple solution approaches, and justify design decisions considering performance, scalability, and security trade-offs.
· Micro Services Frameworks:
o Strong understanding of microservices architecture, with the ability to design high-level service boundaries, ensure effective inter-service communication, and manage data consistency across distributed systems.
o Hands-on experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs using FastAPI or Django REST Framework, applying API design best practices and integrating with external services, data sources, and databases.
o Solid expertise in Python web frameworks (FastAPI/Django), including dependency injection patterns, middleware, request/response lifecycle management, transaction handling, and database access strategies.
o Experience implementing security and cloud-native patterns using FastAPI/Django authentication/authorization mechanisms, OAuth2/JWT, and integration with cloud-native identity and configuration services (e.g., AWS Cognito, GCP IAM, Azure AD); resiliency patterns such as retries, circuit breakers, and configuration management.
o Strong understanding of data persistence, including RDBMS & SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/DynamoDB/Firestore), normalization, complex query troubleshooting, and ORM frameworks such as SQLAlchemy or Django ORM for performant and transactional data access.
o Proven ability in testing, troubleshooting, and debugging, including writing unit tests with Pytest/Unittest, identifying performance bottlenecks, and resolving production issues with minimal handholding.

- o Experience with compute services such as EC2 / Compute Engine / Virtual Machines, ECS/EKS / GKE / AKS, Elastic Beanstalk / App Engine / App Service, and Lambda / Cloud Functions / Azure Functions; ability to choose appropriate compute models for Python microservices (FastAPI/Django/Flask) and backend APIs.
- o Experience exposing and managing RESTful APIs using API Gateway / Cloud Endpoints / Azure API Management and load balancers (ALB, Application Gateway); integration with Angular/React frontends.
- o Hands-on experience with relational databases (RDS / Cloud SQL / Azure SQL) and NoSQL options (DynamoDB / Firestore / Cosmos DB); expertise in data modeling, performance tuning, and transactional integrity.
- o Experience implementing security using IAM / Service Accounts / Azure AD, VPCs/VNETs, security groups/NSGs, and secrets management via AWS Secrets Manager / GCP Secret Manager / Key Vault.
- o Experience deploying Angular/React applications using S3 + CloudFront / Cloud Storage + Cloud CDN / Azure Storage + Azure CDN, including CDN caching, environment configuration, and performance optimization.
- o Experience with CI/CD pipelines using CodePipeline / Cloud Build / Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins for Python and UI applications.
- o Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS / GKE / AKS) for containerized Python microservices and frontend workloads.
- o Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch / Stackdriver / Azure Monitor), centralized logging, metrics, alerts, and production troubleshooting.
- o Ability to diagnose production issues, optimize performance, and ensure high availability with minimal handholding.

- o Proven experience working directly with clients and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, manage expectations, and reduce ambiguity.

- · Built AI-powered applications using LangChain and/or LangGraph (e.g. chatbots, copilots, retrieval-augmented apps) and experience in designing/optimizing prompts for LLMs
- · Experience in Testing frameworks – PyTest, Selenium, Playwright for automation testing
- · Awareness of any of the industry domains
