Position Summary

Level: Senior Manager or equivalent [Specialist Leader - Gen AI Architect]

As a Senior Manager/Specialist leader at Deloitte Consulting, you will play the role of strategic architect who creates and(or) reviews enterprise grade architectures and also provides best practices for technical delivery for complex, enterprise-solutions. You will lead and guide multidisciplinary, global teams and serve as a senior mentor to managers and junior staff. You will partner closely with clients and internal stakeholders to align solution strategies with business goals, contribute to sales and proposal development, and ensure rigorous management of end-to-end project delivery, including scoping, estimation, and executive reporting for successful project outcomes.

Work you’ll do:

As a Senior Manager, you will collaborate with client and internal leadership to shape solution strategies that align with key business objectives. You will provide expert oversight throughout the technical delivery lifecycle—guiding architectural decisions, driving best practices, and ensuring solutions meet quality standards. In this role, you will manage multidisciplinary teams, coach and mentor talent, and oversee project progress through executive status reporting and risk mitigation. Additionally, you will support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, providing solution insights, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

We transform engineering teams, modernize technology, and deliver complex programs with a product engineering approach. Our flexible delivery models—traditional teams, pools, or pods—are tailored to each client’s needs, offering engineering-led advisory, implementation, and operational capabilities to accelerate innovation.

Qualifications

Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

  • 10+ years in software engineering/architecture, with recent focus on AI/GenAI platforms and enterprise delivery.
  • Proven agentic AI delivery: designed and implemented multi-agent/workflow systems (planning, tool-use, routing, memory) in production for real business processes.
  • GenAI solution architecture expertise: patterns for RAG, agentic orchestration, function/tool calling, prompt/response schemas, guardrails, evaluation, and observability.
  • Strong AI/ML foundation: hands-on with model selection, embeddings, retrieval, fine-tuning/adapter approaches, and rigorous evaluation (offline + online).
  • End-to-end platform design: reference architectures spanning data ingestion, knowledge stores/vector DB, model gateways, orchestration, APIs/UI, monitoring, and cost controls.
  • Enterprise integration skills: connecting agents to business systems (ERP/CRM/ITSM/data platforms) via APIs/events, with secure tool access, logging, and audit trails.
  • Security, risk, and compliance by design: IAM, secrets management, privacy/PII, model risk controls, prompt injection defenses, and human-in-the-loop escalation.
  • Cloud + architecture certifications (expected): one or more of AWS Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional), Google Professional Cloud Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, plus an architecture credential such as TOGAF, SABSA, or equivalent (security architecture a plus).
  • MLOps/LLMOps maturity: CI/CD, environment promotion, model/prompt/version governance, observability, reliability/SLA design, and cost/performance optimization.
  • Innovation & eminence: demonstrated thought leadership (patents/publications/talks/blogs), internal/external community contributions, development of reusable accelerators/reference architectures, and a track record of piloting emerging capabilities into scalable delivery.

Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

  • Deep knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and AI governance practices
  • Proven track record in mentoring senior teams and driving technical excellence across large-scale programs
