Strategy & Transactions – Valuation & Modelling - Business Valuation – Senior Consultant

Position Summary
Level: Senior Consultant or equivalent
As a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for individually delivering high quality work products within due timelines. Need-basis you will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members/liaising with onsite/offshore teams.
The Team:
The Valuation & Modeling team, part of Strategy & Transactions offering portfolio, performs valuation of business entities, intellectual property, partnership interests, private debt instruments, Fee for service and Health Care Professional Fair Market Valuation services. As a professional in this team, you will be responsible for providing Fair Market Valuation services and commercial reasonableness analyses supporting management planning and regulatory compliance considerations to Pharmaceutical and Medical Device companies. The role combines analytical modeling, healthcare compliance awareness, and clear written reporting to deliver client-ready deliverables and support client with their regulatory compliance or management planning requirements.
Work you’ll do / Key Responsibilities
· Prepare FMV and fee reasonableness analyses for various pharmaceutical supply chain arrangements, spanning across traditional supply chain channels to nuanced collaborations.
- Select and apply appropriate valuation approaches (e.g., Cost-plus approach, market benchmarking, Income approach, as applicable) and document assumptions and conclusions.
- Review engagement documentation (scope, agendas, deliverables, contracts, purchase orders) to validate time estimates, role requirements, and deliverables
- Draft client-ready FMV reports, including methodology, data sources, assumptions, calculations, and conclusion ranges.
- Support quality control (QC) and peer review; respond to internal review comments and refine analyses accordingly.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, meet service-level expectations, and communicate status, risks, and dependencies to engagement leads.
- Contribute to practice development through template refinement, benchmark library updates (where permitted), and training/coaching for junior analysts.
- Participate in client communications as needed to clarify scope, request missing inputs, and explain conclusions in plain language.
Qualifications
Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in Business Consulting, Regulatory Compliance management, Business Valuation, Equity research, Market Access, Clinical research
- Foundational knowledge associated with Life Sciences & Health Care Industry (e.g., Knowledge of Supply Chain entities – Wholesalers / Specialty Distributors, Specialty Pharmacy, Group Purchasing Organizations, PBMs and Payors Landscape, etc.) and regulatory considerations (e.g., Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and strong storyboarding skills
- Time management and project management skills required to work across multiple client engagements, and senior stakeholders
- MBA (Tier 1 and Tier 2 preferred)
