Mergers & Acquisitions - Manager
Mergers & Acquisitions as the name suggests is intriguing and complex. We are looking for a person who is passionate about M&A and willing to serve challenging client needs and ensuring the client demands are met.
Work you’ll do
As a Manager, you would be required to handle a team of 10-12 professionals to manage end-to-end project work on financial due diligence / accounting due diligence engagements for Deloitte onsite users:
· Lead financial due diligence (buy-side, sell-side, refinancing) for strategic, banking, and private equity clients
· Analyze work requests, scope projects, and allocate the right resources to ensure high-quality execution
· Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and onsite teams, handling project deliverables and upcoming engagements
· Directly execute complex analyses and support team members on challenging work requests as needed
· Mentor, guide, and provide subject matter expertise to team members, adding value to client deliverables
· Review and sign off on work prepared by project leads, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and high standards
· Manage project timelines, deliverables, and workflow, ensuring on-time delivery and optimal team utilization
· Conduct and review advanced financial analyses (quality of earnings, operating metrics, debt-like items, net working capital)
· Leverage advanced analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau) for enhanced data analysis and reporting
· Oversee the review and preparation of key financial documents from virtual data rooms
· Lead sections of analysis in client and management meetings
· Mentoring the team professionals and providing feedback on the performance
The team
Mergers & Acquisitions Transaction Services team provides support for Financial due diligence (‘FDD’) services to the Client, both Private Equity clients as well as Strategic Investors, which entails comprehensive financial review of the target with the goal of providing a complete picture of its financial position and sustainable cash flows, highlighting the value and risks of a transaction, and identifying issues for reflection in SPA and completion accounts.
Required
· CA/ CPA/MBA (Finance) with 6 to 8 years’ relevant experience in financial analysis and interpretation preferably with experience of working in M&A transactions
· Industry expertise will be a preference
· Experience to handle a team for 2-3 years in a Big 4 firm or any renowned company
· Have an eye for detail, advanced understanding of accounting concepts and good analytical skills
· Have expert knowledge of MS Excel (with advanced knowledge of charts/graphs/pivot table/macros)
· Have leadership, coaching, counselling and supervisory skills
· Experience of handling financial data through Alteryx
