Mergers & Acquisitions - Lead Solution Advisor / Senior Solution Advisor
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) as the name suggests is intriguing and complex. It calls for a business mindset to understand the rationale behind the transactions and ability and willingness to dive deeper into industry issues and bring greater insights for our clients. We are looking for a person who is passionate about M&A and willing to serve challenging client needs and ensuring the client demands are met.
Work you’ll do
Supervise a team of Associate Solution Advisors / Solution Advisors and carry out end-to-end project management work on financial due diligence / accounting due diligence engagements for Deloitte onsite users:
· Analyze complex financial data, including trial balances, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
· Identify and investigate unusual trends or variances; develop targeted questions for management
· Collect and organize data required for databooks and financial analysis
· Draft and finalize reports based on due diligence, ensuring alignment with engagement scope
· Coordinate detailed communications with clients and closely collaborate with the onshore US team
· Leverage advanced analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx, Tableau) for enhanced data analysis and reporting
· Apply industry knowledge or sector-specific expertise when relevant
· Lead overall project delivery: liaise with the onshore team, allocate and review work streams, manage complex tasks, and ensure timely engagement delivery
The Team
Mergers & Acquisitions Transaction Services team provides support for Financial due diligence (‘FDD’) services to the Client, both Private Equity clients as well as Strategic Investors, which entails comprehensive financial review of the target with the goal of providing a complete picture of its financial position and sustainable cash flows, highlighting the value and risks of a transaction, and identifying issues for reflection in SPA and completion accounts.
Required:
· CA/ CPA/MBA Regular (Finance) with 4 to 5 years’ relevant experience in financial analysis and interpretation preferably with experience of working in M&A transactions
· Ability to read and interpret financial statements, and perform data analysis
· Have an eye for detail, advanced understanding of accounting concepts and good analytical skills
· Have the ability to add industry analysis including KPIs
· Have expert knowledge of MS Excel (with advanced knowledge of charts/graphs/pivot table/macros)
· Experience of handling financial data through Alteryx is preferred
