Position Summary
Real Estate Transformation – Strategy & Transactions (S&T)
Locations: Bengaluru, Chennai, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune
At Deloitte, as part of the Real Estate Transformation team, you will:
• Work closely with corporate real estate executives with the goal to optimize portfolio performance aligning with business strategy and supporting digital transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to develop and implement real estate portfolio optimization strategies, including master planning, campus/HQ strategy, restructuring and cost optimization, location strategy, sustainability initiatives, implementation planning, and analytics.
• Design, develop, and refine workplace business processes and workflows across the corporate real estate lifecycle (portfolio management, transaction management, design & construction, space and move management, facilities and amenities management, lease management and workplace experience).
• Support organizations to develop a workplace strategy aimed at enhancing the work environment to boost productivity, employee experience, health, and well-being, with a focus on hybrid work, agile workplace models, and connected employee experiences.
• Support client interviews, participate in workshops and training sessions, and develop client deliverables and documentation, including presentations, reports, and executive summaries.
• Synthesize and analyze data, draw conclusions, and develop recommendations to address client challenges, leveraging advanced analytics, benchmarking, and industry best practices.
• Participate in and drive engagement activities, including:
o Developing project deliverables to ensure timely and high-quality outcomes.
o Working on intricate work threads, demonstrating agility in handling unstructured content and ambiguity.
o Collaborating seamlessly with global teams, skillfully framing pertinent questions that cut through complexity.
o Developing plans and roadmaps for components of engagements
o Coordinating diverse work threads cohesively to achieve project objectives.
o Identifying and helping manage change in scope.
o Developing and maintaining working relationships with client counterparts.
The Team
The Real Estate Transformation team is part of Deloitte’s Infrastructure & Real Estate practice, focused on assisting leading organizations as they optimize their corporate real estate portfolio and function; evaluate what and how much corporate real estate they have; and determine how they use, service, manage, and enable it.
Whether supporting them in-site selection, designing a facility, or operating it, we help our clients address the most complex questions and unlock the value of their real estate portfolio as a fundamental business platform. We help the Corporate Real Estate function respond to the demands of the future of work, enabling digital transformation, supporting hybrid work and an agile workplace, creating a data driven portfolio and a connected employee experience, and addressing ESG, and DEI agendas.
The team is looking for highly motivated individuals with effective communication skills, the ability to collaborate with teams across geographies and time zones, a willingness to embrace modern technologies and methodologies, the ability to navigate steep learning curves, and demonstrated management consulting skills.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, architecture, civil engineering, real estate, urban planning, or a related field.
• 18-24 months years of experience, either in consulting within a professional services environment or in industry serving as an internal consultant or similar role, with a solid foundation in core consulting skills such as problem-solving, strategic thinking, effective communication, and proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau, and PowerBI.
Preferred Experience
• Ability to develop financial models and business cases, including scenario analysis and ROI assessments.
• Ability to understand how business functions operate and how sector trends impact a client’s business, with a focus on real estate, infrastructure, and workplace transformation.
• Analytical and hypothesis-driven problem-solving approach, process and operations analysis, experience with processing and analyzing large financial and non-financial data sets, and familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools.
• Ability to map and document current state and future state processes, and support change management and implementation planning.
• Exposure to working for stakeholders and projects in non-India geographies (preferably the US) and/or interacting with global stakeholders, demonstrating cultural awareness and adaptability.
