Position Summary 

Level: Sr.  Consultant 

As a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will design, develop, and deploy enterprise-scale software solutions, lead the creation of robust pipelines and manage code deployment across environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional, global teams to translate functional requirements into effective deliverables, independently guiding and mentoring junior team members. Your role spans the full project lifecycle, including estimation, planning, execution, and tracking key metrics for analysis, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of solutions.

  

Work you’ll do

Join a collaborative delivery team implementing and enhancing Guidewire solutions for P&C (Property & Casualty) insurers. As a Senior Consultant, you will configure Guidewire ClaimCenter and PolicyCenter, build and support integrations with enterprise ecosystems, and drive end-to-end delivery from design through deployment. You’ll partner with onshore/offshore stakeholders, mentor junior team members, and use modern engineering and AI-assisted productivity tools to accelerate quality delivery.


Key Responsibilities

Configure and extend Guidewire ClaimCenter (CC) and PolicyCenter (PC) to meet business requirements, balancing out-of-the-box capabilities with maintainable configuration and targeted extensions.
Own CC–PC integration touchpoints (events, messaging, APIs, services) and support end-to-end flows across policy, claims, parties, coverages, exposures, and financial transactions as applicable.
Design and implement integrations between Guidewire and external systems (e.g., customer/party, billing, document management, payment, fraud, data/analytics), using appropriate patterns (REST/SOAP services, messaging, batch, plugins).
Develop in Gosu and Guidewire configuration frameworks (rules, PCF/UI, product model, data model extensions, typelists) while adhering to Guidewire best practices.
Support environment and release readiness including CI/CD integration, code reviews, branching/merging, packaging, and deployment support across lower and higher environments.
Drive quality engineering through unit/integration testing, defect triage, performance considerations, and root-cause analysis for production issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (solution architects, BAs, QA, DevOps, security) to deliver sprint commitments and manage dependencies.
Mentor junior engineers/consultants and contribute to reusable assets, documentation, and delivery accelerators.
Leverage AI-enabled development tools (where approved) to improve productivity in code/configuration, test creation, documentation, and impact analysis while maintaining compliance and secure engineering practices.

Qualifications

Required:

3 – 5 years of experience in Guidewire implementation/configuration and enterprise integration delivery.
Knowledge on Java and spring boot
Hands-on experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter (CC) and PolicyCenter (PC) configuration and integration (both preferred).
Strong working knowledge of Gosu, Guidewire Studio tooling, and core configuration areas such as: PCF/UI configuration, rules, entities/extensions, typelists, workflows, product model (PC), and claims configuration (CC).
Proven experience designing/implementing Guidewire integrations using REST/SOAP, messaging/event patterns, batch, and/or plugin framework as appropriate.
Solid understanding of Guidewire data model and effective data handling with SQL (e.g., Oracle/PostgreSQL).
Experience with source control (Git), code review practices, and build/release pipelines (e.g., Jenkins/Azure DevOps or equivalent).
Strong problem-solving skills, stakeholder communication, and ability to work effectively in a distributed delivery model.
Bachelor’s degree (3-year minimum) in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, or similar).

Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:   

Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP)/Guidewire Cloud, AppEvent Kubernetes/containerization concepts, and modern DevSecOps practices.
Familiarity with API management/security patterns (e.g., OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, mTLS, SSO) and secure integration standards.
Experience with integration middleware/tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Kafka) and enterprise document/payment ecosystems.
Exposure to insurance domain processes across Policy and Claims (e.g., FNOL, adjudication, reserves/payments, endorsements, renewals, underwriting).
