DevOps Lead Manager- ACS

Are you a DevOps expert who thrives on leading teams and driving automation at scale? Join Deloitte’s App Store team as a DevOps Lead and play a pivotal role in architecting, implementing, and optimizing the infrastructure and processes that power our internal app marketplace. 

Application Common Services (ACS) is a firmwide initiative focused on creating reusable, scalable services and frameworks such as RBAC, App Store, and Data Fabric. By centralizing the development and governance of these services, ACS enables Deloitte’s asset teams to reduce duplicative effort, accelerate time-to-market, and deliver consistent, secure, and high-performing applications. These services are built to be leveraged across multiple teams and products to increase operational efficiency and improve user experience. 

Work You’ll Do 

As an App Store DevOps Lead (Manager), you will oversee the design, implementation, and management of cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines supporting Deloitte’s internal app marketplace. You’ll lead a team of DevOps engineers, collaborate with development and architecture teams, and drive best practices for automation, security, and reliability. You will be responsible for ensuring high availability, scalability, and compliance across all backend services, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, providing technical guidance and professional development. 
  • Architect, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP). 
  • Oversee the design and optimization of CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery. 
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and architecture teams to streamline build, test, and deployment processes. 
  • Ensure robust monitoring, logging, and alerting systems are in place for proactive issue detection and resolution. 
  • Implement and enforce infrastructure as code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. 
  • Drive incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and organizational standards. 
  • Develop and maintain documentation for DevOps processes, architectures, and best practices. 
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities. 


Qualifications 

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
  • 6+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or related roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial capacity. 
  • Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). 
  • Proven experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps). 
  • Strong proficiency with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar). 
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). 
  • Solid understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools and best practices. 
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills. 

Preferred: 

  • Master’s degree in a technical field. 
  • Experience with microservices architectures. 
  • Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks relevant to cloud environments. 
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps culture transformation. 
  • Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).
