Job Role: Product Consultant (Senior Consultant)
As a Product Consultant, you will bridge business stakeholders and engineering teams, focusing on SaaS product development and digital transformation in the manufacturing domain. You will define product functionality, translate business needs into scalable digital solutions, and ensure alignment through continuous collaboration. This role drives innovation, enhances decision-making, and supports competitive advantage by leveraging cutting-edge technologies and methodologies.
Work You’ll Do
- Act as a liaison between product owners, engineering, and business teams to ensure seamless communication.
- Define product functionality by gathering user needs and pain points, focusing on SaaS and digital transformation.
- Translate requirements into functional/technical specifications, including use cases, user stories, and workflows.
- Identify gaps in existing functionality and propose enhancements.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) with test case development and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (product owners, architects, developers, testers) to deliver scalable solutions.
- Document project details (e.g., Functional Specifications, Validation Documents) in required formats.
- Participate in Agile processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Create process flow diagrams and work with design teams for user-friendly solutions.
- Conduct scoping assessments and develop change rationales.
- Stay updated on industry trends, adopt new tools, and contribute to process improvements.
- Ensure timely achievement of project milestones.
Qualifications and Experience Required (Must):
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, computer science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field (master's preferred).
- as a Product Consultant/Owner in SaaS product development, ideally in product-based companies or manufacturing domain with digital transformation focus.
- Experience defining product functionality and collaborating with engineering for scalable digital solutions.
- Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams), and business process tools.
- Strong understanding of requirements, user flows, and Agile SDLC.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and multitasking skills.
- Strong team collaboration and relationship-building abilities.
Preferred:
- Experience with diverse teams (engineering, quality, vendors) in Agile environments.
- Proven track record in delivering SaaS products or manufacturing digital transformation initiatives.
- Should have experience working with diverse teams including IT, product owners, Quality and external vendors to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Should have experience working in an Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) environment.
