Position Summary

Scrum Master / Agile Coach (Consultants, Senior Consultants)

As a Scrum Master at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for facilitating Agile practices and ensuring successful delivery of technology solutions through the Scrum framework. You will coach teams, remove impediments, and drive continuous improvement while fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and innovation.

We are not only looking for someone who facilitates Scrum ceremonies, but we are primarily looking for someone who:

· Champions Agile values and principles while driving organizational transformation

· Facilitates team collaboration and removes impediments to maximize productivity

· Coaches teams and stakeholders on Scrum framework and Agile best practices

· Drives continuous improvement through retrospectives and metrics-driven insights

· Partners with Product Owners to optimize backlog management and delivery

· Builds high-performing, self-organizing teams through servant leadership

Work you'll do:

HC Forward is Deloitte's innovation engine for Human Capital, integrating technology, data, and industry expertise to create scalable solutions and assets that extend client capabilities and drive ongoing value across all Human Capital offerings.

Common (All Levels)

· Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, Retrospectives)

· Guide teams in adopting and implementing Agile/Scrum practices effectively

· Remove impediments and blockers that hinder team progress and productivity

· Foster self-organization and cross-functional collaboration within teams

· Track and communicate team velocity, burndown charts, and sprint metrics

· Ensure transparency through proper maintenance of Scrum artifacts (Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, Increment)

· Collaborate with Product Owners to optimize backlog refinement and prioritization

· Travel as required by project needs

· Demonstrate excellent written and spoken communication skills to facilitate team and stakeholder conversations

Consultant (4–6 Years)

· Facilitate Scrum ceremonies for one or more Agile teams

· Coach team members on Scrum roles, artifacts, and ceremonies

· Support Product Owner in backlog management and user story refinement

· Track sprint progress using tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Rally

· Identify and escalate risks and dependencies to appropriate stakeholders

· Promote Agile mindset and continuous improvement within the team

· Assist in sprint planning and capacity planning activities

· Support conflict resolution and team dynamics management

Senior Consultant (6–10 Years)

· Lead multiple Scrum teams or large-scale Agile programs (SAFe, LeSS)

· Coach Product Owners, stakeholders, and leadership on Agile principles

· Drive Agile transformation initiatives and organizational change management

· Establish Agile metrics and KPIs to measure team performance and value delivery

· Facilitate cross-team coordination and dependency management

· Mentor junior Scrum Masters and build Agile capability within the organization

· Lead Agile maturity assessments and implement improvement roadmaps

· Design and deliver Agile training programs and workshops

· Contribute to Agile community of practice and thought leadership

Common Skills: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification; Deep understanding of Scrum framework, Agile principles, and Lean practices; Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching teams; Proficiency in Agile tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, Rally, Trello); Strong servant leadership and facilitation skills; Ability to identify and remove impediments effectively; Experience with Agile metrics (velocity, burndown, cycle time); Excellent conflict resolution and interpersonal skills; Understanding of software development lifecycle and DevOps practices

Preferred Skills: Advanced certifications (CSP-SM, SAFe SPC, ICP-ACC, PSM II); Experience with scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, Scrum@Scale); Knowledge of Kanban, XP, and other Agile methodologies; Experience leading Agile transformation initiatives; Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD practices; Understanding of Agile portfolio management and OKRs; Experience in HR technology or Human Capital domain; Knowledge of change management and organizational development; Coaching or mentoring certifications

Education: BE/B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc (CS, IT or related) or equivalent experience
