National Consulting Services 

The National Office, a key Strategic Enabler in our new model, is comprised of professionals with various areas of focus that collectively provide mission critical services to support Deloitte’s overall success. Whether focused on project financial, quality and risk management, methods and tools, sales excellence, talent, leadership support, or other activities these professionals ensure that our Firm operates efficiently, and our people are able to effectively serve clients every day. 

Level: Manager or equivalent

The Manager on the Ascend Financial Operations Team is responsible for leading portfolio-level financial management, governance, and strategic investment alignment across Ascend initiatives. This role partners closely with Finance, Product Leadership, Product Governance, and Global Member Firms to ensure financial transparency, disciplined investment planning, and alignment to strategic priorities. The Manager will provide thought leadership, oversee complex financial analyses, and present insights and recommendations to senior executive stakeholders.

Work you’ll do:

  • Lead financial operations for the Ascend portfolio, providing end-to-end oversight of investment planning, budgeting, forecasting, and spend management across programs.
  • Partner with Finance, Product Leadership, and Product Governance to align investments with strategic priorities and business outcomes.
  • Own and evolve executive-level financial dashboards (PowerBI), ensuring accurate, real-time visibility into current and forecasted spend, allocations, and variances.
  • Provide proactive financial reporting, insights, and recommendations to SteerCo and senior leadership, including US and Global Consulting CEOs.
  • Evaluate and challenge business cases, ROI, and funding requests for new capabilities, enhancements, and initiatives.
  • Lead portfolio-level financial governance, including investment reviews, variance management, and decision support.
  • Support and oversee contracting efforts, including estimating and managing global costs to enable and sustain Global Member Firm partnerships.
  • Guide and mentor Consultants and Senior Consultants, reviewing deliverables and ensuring quality, consistency, and timeliness.
  • Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, reporting standards, and governance models across the Ascend ecosystem.

Innovation & Delivery Transformation enables Deloitte to systematically embrace technology and our clients’ rate of change by organizing rapid innovation, expanding our approach to engineering, and rethinking how we navigate disruption in an increasingly tech-fueled market. Innovation & Delivery Transformation includes several Mission Areas: Delivery Transformation, Innovation, Deloitte Engineering, Applied AI Strategic Growth Offering, Sustainability Strategic Growth Offering, Office of the Chief Data Officer, and Office of the Chief Technology Officer. The Delivery Transformation team drives modernization of delivery practices, leveraging agile methodologies, automation, and advanced tools to enhance efficiency and quality across client engagements.

The Delivery Transformation (DT) team sits within IDT and focuses on operationalizing innovative platforms and delivery models, such as Ascend. DT drives the integration of these solutions across our client delivery practices to help Deloitte practitioners excel in a rapidly evolving delivery landscape and deliver value to our clients faster and more efficiently.

Qualifications

Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

·       8 - 14 years of hands-on experience in building, managing, and enhancing PowerBI dashboards for executive audiences

·       Strong executive presence with demonstrated experience drafting materials and delivering financial updates to senior stakeholders (including US and Global Consulting leadership)

·       Proven experience leading portfolio-level investment planning, budgeting, and forecasting across multiple programs

·       Strong capability in evaluating business cases, financial models, and ROI for new investments and enhancements

·       Demonstrated ability to maintain real-time financial visibility and provide forward-looking insights on spend and funding risks

·       Extensive experience providing financial transparency, governance, and reporting to SteerCo and executive leadership

·       Governance and Operations: 2–5+ years

·       Project Management Office (PMO): Advanced

Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

  • ·       Experience leading or reviewing Deloitte pricing models and financial estimates
  • ·       Strong understanding of Deloitte firm financials, assets, and operating models, including Ascend
  • ·       Demonstrated experience aligning financial investments to enterprise and strategic priorities
  • ·       Experience operating in a global, matrixed environment with Global Member Firm stakeholders
  • ·       Project Financials & Budget: Intermediate to Advanced

Education:

  • ·       Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
