Finance Transformation
Join our Finance Transformation practice to help Deloitte client service teams define and execute Finance and Global Business Services agendas and strategies. You will work with world-class teams and insights, helping support delivery in challenging environments, market uncertainty, technology development, and regulatory considerations to help unlock value. Your work may span strategy, operations, process design, and technology as we collaborate with teams to enable transforming finance.
Position Summary
Level: Global Business Services Manager
As a Manager at Deloitte Consulting, you will be responsible for driving and managing projects to deliver high quality work products within due timelines. You will be mentoring and/or directing junior team members/liaising with onsite/offshore teams to understand the functional requirements.
Work you’ll do:
As a Manager in Deloitte’s Global Business Services and Location Strategy team, you will:
- Apply experience in Global Business Services (GBS) strategy and execution across Shared Services, Outsourcing, and Centers of Excellence, including location strategy
- Develop client strategies to enhance process efficiency and drive cost reduction
- Assess markets to identify optimal office locations
- Conduct client interviews, workshops, and training sessions
- Identify, develop, and deploy tools such as business case development and financial modeling
- Synthesize and analyze data to deliver actionable recommendations and client documentation
- Lead and manage complex work threads, demonstrating agility with ambiguity
- Collaborate with global teams, framing key questions to address complexity
- Develop engagement plans and roadmaps; coordinate diverse workstreams
- Manage scope changes and build strong client relationships
- Mentor junior resources and lead practice development trainings
- Drive firm eminence and sales efforts
The Team:
Our Finance Transformation – Global Business Services (GBS) practice serves as a trusted advisor to CFOs and executives, helping shape the CFO agenda, improve operating models, and drive enterprise value in the digital economy. The GBS Advisory team partners with organizations to design and implement GBS strategies, including service delivery models, operating model transformation, and location strategies. Leveraging next-generation technologies like Generative AI, we drive innovation across Finance, Procurement, and IT. Our scope includes outsourcing advisory, vendor selection, and end-to-end transformation. We seek motivated individuals with strong analytical, communication, and consulting skills to join our dynamic GBS group
Qualifications:
Must have Skills:
- 6-9 years of relevant hands-on experience (post MS / MBA/ CA)
- Strong foundation in core consulting skills: problem-solving, strategic thinking, effective communication, and robust proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
- Experience working with or at a shared services center or global knowledge process outsourcing firm
- Hands-on experience in at least one of the following:
- Operating model transformation projects (Finance, HR, IT, Procurement)
- Shared Services Design & Build
- Outsourcing Strategy
- Contracting & Negotiations for Managed Services or BPO contracts
- Location Strategy
- Ability to lead and manage a team of 2-7 members
- Analytical and hypothesis-driven problem-solving approach; ability to process and analyze large financial and non-financial data sets
- Proficiency in structuring ambiguous problem statements into clearly defined objectives, requirements and deliverables
- Ability to map and document current and future state processes
- Project management experience (either leading or supporting)
- Ability to develop financial models and business cases to support recommendations
- Ability to manage senior executive client stakeholders, build relationships and present solutions/outputs
- Understanding of Global Business Services strategies for cost reduction and transformation
- Familiarity with defining location strategy, assessing critical factors, conducting site visits, and presenting recommendations
- Knowledge of operating model transformations and the feasibility of shared services or outsourcing, including end-to-end design and implementation
Good to have Skills:
- Awareness of finance processes and IT operations
- Ability to connect sector trends to business operations and client impact
- Fundamental understanding of AI solutions, their key components and emerging variants such as agentic AI
- Project financial management
- Experience working with global stakeholders or exposure to non-India geographies, especially the US
Education:
· MBA, MS, CA or PhD from a leading school in India or abroad
