Finance Transformation (FT) - Finance Operations Transformation
Join our Finance Transformation practice to help Deloitte client service teams define and execute Finance and Global Business Services agendas and strategies. You will work with world-class teams and insights, helping support delivery in challenging environments, market uncertainty, technology development, and regulatory considerations to help unlock value. Your work may span strategy, operations, process design, and technology as we collaborate with teams to enable transforming finance.
Position Summary
Level: Consultant
As a Consultant in Deloitte’s Finance Operations Transformation team, you will help clients reimagine and design future-state finance processes, drive operational transformation, and enable digital transformation and business growth. You will assess current processes, identify improvement opportunities, and help clients realize their finance transformation vision through strategy, implementation, and continuous improvement. You will collaborate with cross-functional, global teams to translate functional requirements into effective deliverables and ensure high-quality, timely delivery across the project lifecycle.
Work you’ll do:
- Collaborate with client finance leaders to assess, design, and optimize end-to-end finance processes (e.g., Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Record to Report, FP&A).
- Advise on ERP and digital technology solutions ensuring alignment between business needs and technology capabilities.
- Redesign finance processes and data models (e.g., Chart of Accounts, cost/profit centers), define KPIs, build business cases to support process improvement
- Ensure finance priorities are understood and aligned to define current and future state processes, alignment to standard functionality (e.g., fit/gap, automated vs manual processes), and impacts to the finance business teams
- Lead process reengineering, business requirement gathering, and solution blueprinting to align with future state capabilities.
- Collaborate with global teams and stakeholders to deliver large-scale finance transformation programs on time and with measurable impact.
The Team:
Our Finance Transformation – Global Business Services (GBS) practice serves as a trusted advisor to CFOs and executives, helping shape the CFO agenda, improve operating models, and drive enterprise value in the digital economy. The GBS Advisory team partners with organizations to design and implement GBS strategies, including service delivery models, operating model transformation, and location strategies. Leveraging next-generation technologies like Generative AI, we drive innovation across Finance, Procurement, and IT. Our scope includes outsourcing advisory, vendor selection, and end-to-end transformation. We seek motivated individuals with strong analytical, communication, and consulting skills to join our dynamic GBS group
Qualifications
Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- Up to 3 years of hands-on experience in finance process assessment, process reengineering, business requirement gathering, and solution design.
- In-depth understanding of one or more core finance processes: Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Record to Report, FP&A, Specialized Finance such as Tax/Treasury/Risk & Compliance, FP&A.
- Demonstrated experience advising on finance areas such as Receivables, Payables, Chart of Accounts, Accounting, Controlling, General Ledger, Costing, Planning, Consolidation, Reporting, Data Management, Finance Analytics, and Process Reengineering.
- Exposure to ERP/systems aligned to finance with ability to align standard and custom functionality to business needs.
- Exposure to business process definition, requirements gathering, design documentation, gap analysis, business alignment, and value realization.
- Strong core consulting skills: problem-solving, strategic thinking, effective communication, and proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to navigate effectively in complex, global transformation projects and deliver high-impact outcomes.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to engage internal and client stakeholders effectively and drive design consensus
Good to Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:
- Experience with delivering/managing large scale technology implementation programs
- Strong Finance functional specialization in at least one ERP/technology (SAP, Oracle, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics, Blackline, HighRadius, Basware, ServiceNow for Finance, Workiva, Anaplan) and additional process mining/mapping tools such as Celonis, Epiplex
- Experience in Finance Operations, FP&A, EPM, or industry-specific finance processes.
- Exposure to digital finance technologies (RPA, GenAI, predictive analytics, machine learning).
- Experience working with global stakeholders or in non-India geographies (preferably US).
Education:
- Bachelors + MBA (Tier 1) with up to 3 years of relevant Finance Transformation experience; OR
- CAs with up to 3 years of relevant Finance Transformation experience post CA qualification
