Position Summary

Finance Operations Transformation

Location – Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai (candidates based in other locations should be willing to move to these three locations for the role)

At Deloitte, Finance Operations Transformation Team, You

·       Will closely work with finance executives to design their future state finance processes

·       Will help client finance executives to elevate their role by building capabilities and undertaking operational finance transformation journey (through strategy, implementation, and continuous improvement)

·       Will help clients define their end-to-end finance business processes to align with overall future state vision and digital ambitions

·       Work with clients to assess their current state finance processes, identify opportunities for improvement/re-engineering, and define future state processes

·       Will conduct analysis and optimization of processes and policies, specific to the following areas:

-      Procure to Pay

-      Order to Cash

-      Finance process impacted by ERP enabled transformation, incl. Revenue or Cost Accounting / Allocations, Record to Report process (i.e. close, consolidation & reporting), Management reporting & analytics design and Planning, budgeting, and forecasting

·       Will act as the finance specialist and advise on large scale Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and adjacent digital technology deployments and liaise between business & ERP/system implementation teams

·       Ensure finance priorities are understood and aligned to define current and future state processes, alignment to standard functionality (e.g., fit/gap, automated vs manual processes), and impacts to the finance business teams

·       Will be responsible for analyzing and designing finance data models to support ERP/systems and broader Finance requirements (Chart of Accounts, cost centers, profit centers, products, customers, etc.)

·       Will be involved in identifying and implementing Key Performance Indictors and metrics for the in-scope finance processes, as well as capture and communicate the value of process improvements and/or tech implementations to the stakeholders via a robust business case

The team

Deloitte’s ‘Finance Transformation’ practice works as a trusted advisor to CFOs, COOs, CIOs, and key executives. We advise and implement solutions, helping our clients develop strategies and capabilities to support enterprise-wide decision-making, improve finance operations, and create impact within their organization

Required Qualifications:

·       Bachelors + MBA (Tier 1) with 2-5 years of relevant Finance Transformation experience ; OR

·       CAs with 3-5 years of relevant Finance Transformation experience

Experience Required:

·       Strong understanding of one or more end to end finance process (Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Record to Report, FP&A, Specialized Finance such as Tax/Treasury/Risk & Compliance, FP&A)

·       Experience working in Finance organizations or consulting organizations, advising finance business on one or more of the following areas: (Receivables, Payables, Chart of Accounts (Enterprise System), Accounting, Controlling, GL/Ledger, Costing, Finance Planning, Finance Consolidation, Group Reporting, Cash Flow, Common Information Model, Financial Statements, Accounting and Financial Reporting, Close, Data Management, Allocation, Financial Data & System Integration, Finance Analytics, Finance Process Reengineering/Redesign, Financial Close Optimization)Strong understanding of ERP/systems aligned to finance processes  and ability to align ‘out of box’ and custom ERP functionality with desired Finance future state capabilities

·       Exposure to drive and lead Business Process Definition & Integration, Business Requirement Gathering and Blueprinting, Design Documentation, Gap Identification, Process Flow Understanding, Attaining Business Alignment, Business Case/Value capture & tracking, transforming Business Requirements to Functional Requirements, Process Improvement Recommendations and Understanding of Financial Reporting Needs

·       Excellent written and oral communication skills to engage internal and client stakeholders effectively and drive design consensus

·       Strong foundation in core consulting skills such as problem-solving, strategic thinking, effective communication and robust proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel

·       Ability to navigate in complex global transformations engagements to drive impact

Preferred Experience:

·       Experienced with delivering/managing large scale technology implementation programs

·       Strong Finance functional specialization in at least one ERP/technology (SAP, Oracle, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics, Blackline, HighRadius, Basware, ServiceNow for Finance, Workiva, Anaplan) and additional process mining/mapping tools such as Celonis, Epiplex

·       Ability to define and dialogue on benefits of technology solutions and its impact on business and Finance processes

·       Practical experience in Finance Operations, Finance system transformation, FP&A, or EPM

·       Strong Understanding of industry specific finance process depth in one or more key industries such as Consumer, Energy, Resources & Industrial Products, Financial Services Industry, Technology, Media & Entertainment, and Telecommunications, Life Sciences & HealthCare (e.g., IFRS, Revenue Recognition, RIM to Cost Accounting etc.)

·       Experience with ‘Finance in a Digital World’ technologies such as process automation through robotics, GenAI, machine learning, predictive analytics, visualization etc.

·       Exposure to working in non-India Geographies (preferably the US) and/ or interacting with Global stakeholders
