Delivery Lead

Level: Manager or equivalent

As a Delivery Lead Manager, you will provide technical leadership across the delivery lifecycle, ensuring Deloitte’s products are built and deployed with quality, speed, and scalability. You’ll combine Agile execution with engineering discipline, mentoring development teams while managing delivery commitments across complex, multi-platform environments.

Work you’ll do:

  • Provide technical leadership across software development efforts, ensuring delivery excellence, scalability, and performance.
  • Drive Agile execution through structured sprint planning, backlog management, and delivery tracking to achieve predictable outcomes.
  • Lead requirement analysis, architecture, and application design sessions with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and QA.
  • Oversee technical task allocation, solution design, and implementation, ensuring alignment to industry standards and Deloitte engineering practices.
  • Ensure quality code delivery through rigorous code reviews, CI/CD integration, and automated testing practices.
  • Partner with Engagement Managers and Program Leads to manage project scope, resources, risk, and stakeholder expectations across portfolios.
  • Guide cloud deployment and DevOps processes, leveraging modern CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration tools.
  • Promote continuous improvement and innovation within teams by embedding best practices in version control, development, and release management.
  • Mentor and coach engineers across onshore and offshore teams, fostering collaboration, technical growth, and accountability.
  • Champion the use of emerging technologies including GenAI, LLMs, and RAG models to enhance delivery efficiency and software reliability.
  • Ensure development teams adopt GenAI development accelerators (Copilot, agent-based workflows, scaffolding).
  • Coordinate multi-team dependencies and cross-feature release planning.
  • Ensure RAG, data, and agent-readiness for each feature before enabling release.
  • Partner with architects to ensure agentic and GenAI patterns are consistently applied.
  • Drive engineering velocity improvements using agent-based code scaffolding.

Innovation & Delivery Transformation is part of Deloitte Consulting Services and focuses on bringing an engineering, innovation, and delivery transformation mindset to everything we do. Innovation & Delivery Transformation enables Deloitte to systematically embrace technology and our clients’ rate of change by organizing rapid innovation, expanding our approach to engineering, and rethinking how we navigate disruption in an increasingly tech-fueled market. Innovation & Delivery Transformation includes several Mission Areas: Delivery Transformation, Innovation, Deloitte Engineering, Applied AI Strategic Growth Offering, Sustainability Strategic Growth Offering, Office of the Chief Data Officer, and Office of the Chief Technology Officer. The Delivery Transformation team drives modernization of delivery practices, leveraging agile methodologies, automation, and advanced tools to enhance efficiency and quality across client engagements.

The Delivery Transformation (DT) team sits within IDT and focuses on operationalizing innovative platforms and delivery models, such as Ascend. DT drives the integration of these solutions across our client delivery practices to help Deloitte practitioners excel in a rapidly evolving delivery landscape and deliver value to our clients faster and more efficiently.

Qualifications

Must Have Skills/Project Experience/Certifications:

  • leading end-to-end software delivery across Agile environments.
  • Proven experience providing technical direction for distributed application development teams.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and DevOps delivery models.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and modern deployment frameworks (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
  • Proficiency in at least one major programming language and associated frameworks (e.g., Java, Python, .NET, or JavaScript).
  • Experience coordinating delivery across multiple engineering PODs.
  • Ability to identify blockers in multi-feature GenAI workflows (RAG dependencies, model constraints).
  • Understanding of LLM-driven engineering workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience managing code quality, architecture reviews, and release readiness.
  • Proficiency with cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization principles.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
