Position Overview
The Corporate License Hosting Support Specialist ensures license servers run smoothly, maintain documentation, and collaborates across teams to support both Linux and Windows environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Update and maintain technical documentation for license server services.
- Ensure timely server fixes during downtime, coordinate with teams for diagnosis and recovery, and document all incidents for continual improvement.
- Run automated scripts (Python, Bash) for system monitoring and maintenance.
- Manage records of systems, processes, and contacts.
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports.
- Troubleshoot license server issues quickly and effectively.
- Monitor server systems daily for performance and compliance.
- Update and manage corporate license files.
- Support service monitoring on Linux and Windows platforms.
- Assist with dashboard improvements in collaboration with Corp BI and Stakeholders.
- Catalog CLH daemons and support installation steps as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in technical support, systems administration, or related IT roles.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical abilities
- Proven experience managing both Linux and Windows server environments.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash preferred).
- Demonstrated experience with technical documentation and process management.
- Familiarity with dashboarding and reporting tools is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with license server management and related compliance processes.
- Knowledge of ITIL or similar service management frameworks.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and commitment to documentation best practices.
